Notice is hereby given that the Moscow Rural Fire District, Latah County, Idaho, will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Moscow Rural Fire Station, 1201 S Mountain View Rd., Moscow, Idaho. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a budget hearing for the proposed FY2027 budget.

proposed 2027 fiscal year budget for the Moscow Rural Fire District will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2026 at 6:00pm at the Rural Fire Station, 1201 S. Mountain View Rd, Moscow, Idaho.

The public is invited to attend.

It is with profound sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and fellow firefighters affected by the tragic loss of three federal wildland firefighters on the Snyder Fire in western Colorado. We also keep the two injured firefighters in our thoughts and wish them a full recovery.

This heartbreaking incident is a solemn reminder of the immense dangers our firefighters face every time they answer the call to protect our lives, property, and natural resources. The ultimate sacrifice made by these brave individuals in service to their communities will never be forgotten.

Please join us in keeping their loved ones, their fire family, and everyone impacted by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, brothers and sisters. We will take it from here.
