NPM LEGO Club
Launched this year, the LEGO Club offers students a space to imagine, solve problems, and collaborate through hands-on STEM learning. Whether the builders are snapping their very first bricks together or creating engineering marvels, every session sparks creativity. Thanks to additional LEGO donations from members of our NP community, our club's bins are overflowing with bricks, plates, and minifigures. Students have endless possibilities to explore, build, and inspire!

Each week, students participate in a mix of untimed individual projects and high-energy building challenges. The excitement of TV competition shows like LEGO Masters is brought to life through challenges with unexpected mid-build twists. Led by 7th grade science teacher Mrs. Farr, every session offers a new chance for young creators to bring their imaginations to life!

The North Pocono School District will be conducting a Co-Educational Basketball Clinic Fundraiser for Boys and Girls in grades 6-7-8 in the NP Middle School Gym on October 26, 27, 28. Registration forms can be found on the district website, the main office, or participants may register the night of the clinic. All skill levels are welcome! Cost of the Clinic is $30.

Seventh grade students on the Mohawk and Delaware teams recently participated in an Environmental Education program led by instructors from the Lacawac Sanctuary. Throughout the North Pocono Environmental Center, students engaged in hands-on, curriculum-related activities. They examined a variety of animal skulls and pelts to deduce diet classifications, ecological roles, and habitat adaptations.To evaluate water quality, students tested physical and chemical attributes of Van Brunt Creek, a tributary of Roaring Brook. Students then collected and identified benthic macroinvertebrates to assess overall stream health. Following their analysis, the students concluded that Van Brunt Creek maintains clean, high-quality water.

NPM PTA Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

NPM Student Council sponsored a Dolly Day or 9-2-5. This day was designated to support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Lackawanna County, which helps to provide free, age appropriate books directly to local children from birth through age 5. Students were encouraged to wear pink and to make monetary contributions of $2, $5 or $9, which will be given to United Way to help fund this program. The homeroom with the most donations will win a hot chocolate and s'mores party. A total of $1,850 was raised schoolwide and the winning homeroom (Ms. Morris) raised $224.
