We’ve been spraying for mosquitoes since March and have noticed an increase in midge fly activity. This is completely normal for the area. Midges often get a bad rep because they look similar to mosquitoes, but they do not bite. You will see them casually resting on your home and vehicles, or engaged in swarming behavior. They are completely harmless and will be gone in a couple of weeks.
