Today, the Mosheim Police Department joins our community in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us also take a moment to remember our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

🇺🇸 Remember • Honor • Respect 🇺🇸

From all of us at the Mosheim Police Department, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Today marked a special milestone as K9 Officer Laws proudly graduated an incredible group of 4th grade D.A.R.E. students! This year’s class showed outstanding participation, respect, and dedication throughout the program while learning valuable lessons about making safe and responsible choices, building self-confidence, and standing up to peer pressure.

It has been an honor spending time with these students and watching them grow each week. Their hard work and positive attitudes made this year’s D.A.R.E. program a huge success.

Congratulations to all of our graduates — your future is bright, and we are proud of each and every one of you! Thank you to the teachers, school staff, parents, and community supporters who helped make this program possible.

We hope everyone had an amazing time celebrating together and making memories that will last a lifetime!

Message from the DARE instructor:

“Today was an amazing day for our D.A.R.E. students from West Greene Middle School as we took our reward trip to the Hands On! Discovery Center! From the moment we arrived, the excitement and smiles never stopped. The students had a blast exploring all the exhibits, learning new things, and making memories together.

It was great to see our students, teachers, and officers all enjoying the day side by side. Trips like this are a wonderful reminder of the positive relationships built through the D.A.R.E. program and the importance of giving students opportunities to learn, laugh, and have fun together outside the classroom.

A very special thank you goes out to Zaxby’s of Greeneville for providing such a delicious catered meal for everyone. The chicken tenders, chips, chocolate chip cookies, and tea were a huge hit with both the kids and adults! Your generosity and support for our students and community are truly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible. We are proud of our D.A.R.E. students and grateful for a day full of fun, learning, and great memories!”

The Mosheim Police Department was proud to attend the SRK, TN event celebrating 30 years of dedicated service to the community. It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful milestone and to connect with so many members of the community.

Our team brought the seatbelt convincer, giving participants a hands-on opportunity to experience what a crash can feel like at a controlled, safe speed. It served as a powerful reminder of just how important it is to wear your seatbelt every time you’re in a vehicle.

We also enjoyed spending time with families and kids by handing out activity books, coloring pages, junior police officer badges, collectible K9 cards, crayons, pencils, and silicone wristbands. Seeing the smiles and engaging with the next generation made the day even more special.

Thank you to everyone who came out and to SRK, TN for allowing us to be part of this great event. We look forward to continuing to serve and connect with our community!
