🚒 It's Been a Busy Few Days for Mosheim VFD 🚒

Over the last three days, members of Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department have stayed busy serving our community and preparing for future emergencies.

Our crews have responded to:
🔥 Two Structure Fires
🚨 One Fire Alarm
🚁 One Landing Zone
🚑 One Lift Assist

In addition to emergency responses, members also conducted a walk through at Old Castle. This visit allowed firefighters to become familiar with recent changes, upgrades, and advancements at the facility, helping ensure we are prepared to respond safely and effectively should an emergency occur there in the future.

Training, pre-planning, and emergency response are all important parts of protecting our community, and we appreciate the opportunity to work alongside our local businesses to better understand their operations.

🚒 Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department Announces 2026–2027 Leadership Team 🚒

During our monthly meeting yesterday evening, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department conducted elections for the upcoming 2026–2027 term. We are proud to announce the officers, administrative staff, and board members who will help lead our department.

Earlier today, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found a two-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a van, with one of the vehicles having rolled over. Fortunately, all occupants had safely exited their vehicles prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

MVFD personnel assisted with scene safety, hazard mitigation, and traffic control while crews worked to ensure the roadway was safe. Once the vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleared, all responding agencies returned to service.

Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank our partners from Greene County EMS, Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad Inc., TDOT, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol for their assistance and teamwork on the scene.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department would like to pause and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Today, we honor those heroes and reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage and dedication. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

From all of us at MVFD, thank you to all who have served and to the families who continue to carry the legacy of our fallen heroes.

Earlier today, Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported possible semi truck fire on Interstate 81 Southbound.

Units 2706, 2701, and 2707 responded to the scene and upon arrival firefighters found smoke coming from the rear axle area of the trailer. Firefighters quickly investigated and cooled the axle to prevent any possible ignition or further issues.

The situation was brought under control quickly, and crews were able to clear the scene safely without further incident.

We appreciate the continued dedication of our members who are always ready to respond and help keep our community and roadways safe.

Yesterday evening, members of Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department conducted a controlled burn operation as part of ongoing training and fire prevention efforts.

While crews were on scene, MVFD was also dispatched to assist Greene County EMS with a lift assist call. Members quickly responded to assist EMS personnel before returning back to the controlled burn operation.

We appreciate the continued teamwork between our department and Greene County EMS
