Come out and support our local Mosier Legion Post #55 to honor our military troops that made the ultimate sacrifice tomorrow at 10 AM along 3rd AVE in Mosier for the parade. There will be a ceremony at the Mosier Cemetery to follow after the parade.

05/23/2026

As we begin Memorial Day Weekend, we at Mosier Fire want to remember and honor the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Without their courage and dedication, we would not enjoy the freedoms we have every day.

As we head into Memorial Day Weekend — often considered the unofficial start of summer — we also want everyone to keep safety in mind.

We are currently in a burn ban for a reason. Wildland fuels have dried out and are very susceptible to fire. Please be extremely careful with anything that could spark or start a fire.

If you choose to drink alcoholic beverages this weekend, please don’t drive. Call a sober friend or family member, or use a taxi or rideshare service. Your life — and the lives of others — are far more important than the cost or inconvenience.

If you’re spending time on or around the water, make sure you have life jackets and wear them. Even experienced swimmers can run into trouble unexpectedly.

If you’re hiking or participating in any strenuous outdoor activities, don’t forget to stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water goes a long way toward preventing heat-related issues.

Mosier Fire volunteers are here and will also be enjoying time with family and friends this weekend, and we want everyone who made it to the holiday weekend to return home safely.

Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend.
