Mosinee Fire District visited Kafka Conveyors yesterday to recertify about 60 of their employees in fire extinguisher use. Great work by all involved keeping your team ready and safe. 🧯🇺🇸

🚒 Hose Testing Complete 🚒

This past Saturday, the Mosinee Fire District completed our annual fire hose testing in accordance with NFPA requirements to ensure our equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready to perform when our community needs us most.

If you didn’t know, every single piece of fire hose must be tested each year to verify it continues to meet performance and safety standards. This important process helps ensure our firefighters have dependable equipment when responding to emergencies.

A huge thank you to our dedicated members who spent their morning unloading, draining, and reloading thousands of feet of fire hose while 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘁 maintained testing pressures.

Prepared equipment starts with prepared people. A huge thank you to everyone involved for helping keep the Mosinee Fire District response-ready. 🔥🚒

During May's EMS training, the Mosinee Fire District conducted a simulated bus crash exercise to review and practice triage procedures during a mass casualty incident. While these types of events are rare, they require a coordinated and efficient response, making regular training essential to ensuring our personnel are prepared when called upon.

The exercise was made possible by the support of several volunteers, including family members and friends of our members, who served as mock patients and helped create realistic training scenarios. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Lamers Bus Lines of Mosinee for generously providing one of their buses for the training exercise.

The evening was both educational and engaging, allowing our EMS providers and firefighters to refresh critical skills, practice patient assessment and triage, and work through the challenges presented by a large-scale incident.

We are grateful for the continued support of Lamers Bus Lines, our volunteers, and the many businesses and citizens throughout our community who help make training opportunities like this possible. Your support plays a vital role in helping us maintain a high level of preparedness and service for those we serve and protect.
