The City of Moss Point will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget and proposed tax levies for fiscal year 2027 on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4320 McInnis Avenue.

βœ… No increase is proposed to the ad valorem millage rate. Unless your property's assessed value has changed, you will not pay more in ad valorem taxes on your home, automobile tag, utilities, business fixtures and equipment, or rental property.

Every citizen is invited to attend, speak, and offer input before any vote is taken.

🚨 LOCAL EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR CITY OF MOSS POINT

Mayor Billy Knight Sr. has officially proclaimed the existence of a local emergency for The City of Moss Point due to a projected tropical disturbance expected to bring excessive rainfall, elevated tides, strong winds, and the potential for flooding in various areas of the city.

This declaration allows City departments and agencies to activate emergency response measures and coordinate resources as needed to protect the health, safety, and property of our residents.

City officials are actively monitoring weather conditions and will continue providing updates as information becomes available.

Residents are encouraged to:
