SEAN SMITH IS COMING HOME!

From the beaches of Pascagoula to the mountains of West Virginiaโ€ฆ.Weโ€™re excited to welcome former Panther Sean Smith, back home to meet and work with our future Panthers!

Sean transferred to West Virginia University for the 2026 season, where he maintained a .320 batting average with 9 home runs and 53 RBIs in 59 games. His offensive efficiency and defensive reliability in both corner-outfield positions made him one of the Mountaineersโ€™ key contributors in Big 12 Conference play!! Sean continued to represent in a big way with his WVU team at the 2026 College World Series!! Sean hit the first Home-run of the CWS!

๐Ÿšจ LOCAL EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR CITY OF MOSS POINT

Mayor Billy Knight Sr. has officially proclaimed the existence of a local emergency for The City of Moss Point due to a projected tropical disturbance expected to bring excessive rainfall, elevated tides, strong winds, and the potential for flooding in various areas of the city.

This declaration allows City departments and agencies to activate emergency response measures and coordinate resources as needed to protect the health, safety, and property of our residents.

City officials are actively monitoring weather conditions and will continue providing updates as information becomes available.

Residents are encouraged to:

โœ… Review emergency preparedness plans
โœ… Secure outdoor items
โœ… Avoid driving through flooded roadways
