A celebration of the wonders of nature in the last free-flowing river in the contiguous United States. This annual event is offered to engage local families and nature tourists about the high-quality habitats and wildlife that can be found in the lower Pascagoula River basin in Jackson and George counties, Mississippi. nsored events that highlight the unique aspects of the local landscape and organisms that occur in their “place” on the river. Community events include:
Hands-on activities focused on local flora and fauna,
Nature and boat tours of local environments, and
Workshops and clinics focused on learning more about the natural world around us. Connect – to nature by participating in one of eight guided (for fee) events that explore the flora and fauna of this unique river system. Conserve – by participating in community-sponsored clean-up events scheduled as a lead up to the festival. Come join us as we celebrate why the Pascagoula River basin is a “jewel” in the “crown” of high-quality “wild” places on the gulf coast that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
