Our Center serves as the gateway to the Pascagoula River. It is also a demonstration site for conservation techniques and storm water management practices that c

an be applied in visitors’ own backyards. We offer an indoor interpretive exhibit with interactive displays and aquaria, the Moss Point Fine Art Gallery, outdoor walking trails and observation decks for birders and nature enthusiasts, a children’s nature play garden, kayak rentals, rental spaces for meetings and events, as well as educational programming for all ages!

Give your middle schooler an unforgettable summer filled with hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and real-world skills.
At GRITS (Green and Resilient Infrastructure Technical Skills) Camp, students ages 11-14 will explore exciting career pathways while learning about conservation, technology, and environmental stewardship. Campers will have opportunities to fly drones, solder, explore coastal ecosystems, participate in field investigations, and gain practical skills that connect them to the natural world and future careers.
Join us June 30-July 2 (11-14 years old) or July 13-17 (15-19 years old) for this FREE summer experience at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center. Space is limited, so register today and let your child discover, explore, and grow this summer.
Have a younger sibling who isn’t quite old enough for this program? We’ve got you covered. Our Nature Camp for younger children is offered on the same days and times, giving them their own age-appropriate outdoor adventure while you participate.

exploration, nature-inspired art and outdoor activities designed to connect campers with the natural world.

Join us June 9-11, June 23-25 or June 30-July 2 for a summer of learning and fun on the water and in the wild. If your child is not
comfortable on the water, optional land-based activities and other fun nature experiences will be available so every camper can enjoy camp at their own pace. Register today.

A huge thank you to Neeka King and the Jackson County MS Outdoor Recreation team for inviting us to participate in Sand Jam this past Saturday! ☀️🌊🐦
We truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with our community and spread Audubon’s mission of protecting the birds and the places they need. From kayaking and fishing to activity booths and beach games, the event was filled with fun, learning, and outdoor adventure for all ages.
We appreciate all of the hard work that went into making Sand Jam such a successful community event and are grateful to have been included!
We would also like to thank our conservation partner, Mississippi Power, and PRAC Board Member, Patrick Chubb for the continued support and collaboration. It was wonderful sharing the event spaces alongside such dedicated community partners who care about conservation and outreach across the Gulf Coast. 💙🌎

The National Audubon Society proudly supports and the important work of the Collective in uplifting Black voices and experiences in birding, conservation, and STEM.

This year’s theme — Flyways & Freedom: Advocacy, Action, and the Future — reflects both the beauty of migration and the ongoing work of building a more inclusive future outdoors.

To celebrate the week locally, the Pascagoula River Audubon Center is excited to host returning guest Luckie Mosely for a photography-focused bird walk on Thursday, May 28 from 10–11 AM and optional kayaking experience.

We hope you’ll join us in learning, listening, and celebrating community through birds.

We had an incredible time celebrating World Migratory Bird Day at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center! 🚣‍♀️
Paddling along the river by kayak, participants experienced birding in such a unique and peaceful way, surrounded by the beauty that makes the Mississippi Flyway so extraordinary. The Mississippi Flyway supports more than 325 bird species annually and is widely cited as a major corridor for North American songbirds, waterfowl, and shorebirds. as they find food, shelter, and safe passage on their long journeys.
From the calls overhead to sightings along the shoreline, it was a day full of connection, learning, and appreciation for the vital role our region plays in migration. 🌎
You can help protect migrating birds too, turn off lights at night, keep cats indoors, and add tape or window clings, to prevent collisions.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the water to celebrate and protect these amazing travelers, we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Big thanks to the incredible Moss Point ROTC students who showed up at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center to help unload and organize festival supplies!
Their teamwork, discipline, and student leadership were on full display as they jumped in and got the job done with positive attitudes and strong work ethic. Community support like this makes a huge difference, and we are grateful for these young leaders who stepped up to serve.
A special thank you to Commander Lambert for her continued support and leadership. Building the next generation of community-minded leaders!
