Here’s our September calendar! September is a little quieter around the library, but it also means our staff is catching up on some of our projects and preparing for all the good things ahead.

Don’t Miss Our August LEGO Club!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, 4-5 PM is our regularly scheduled LEGO Club! We’ll have a few quick building challenges and one longer creative challenge. (Free building is always an option, too!)

Everyone is welcome - build, create, and have some fun!

Beginning July 1, 2026, a new Iowa law changed the posting procedures for government meeting notices.

In addition to being posted at the library, we will now post Library Board meeting agendas on our website: www.moulton.lib.ia.us

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Plant a Seed, Read Summer Reading Program such a success! This summer, the Moulton community celebrated Summer Reading with 12 library events, welcoming at least 170 attendees and earning 118 prize drawing entries through reading logs, BINGO challenges, and activities.

Congratulations to all of our prize winners! And a huge thank you to every child, teen, adult, family, volunteer, presenter, community partner, sponsor, donor, library board member, and staff member who helped make this summer so memorable.

While this morning's weather is a little gloomy, we're still planning to hold our Summer Reading Community Celebration this evening as scheduled. The forecast looks much better this afternoon, and we're looking forward to celebrating with our community!

This is your reminder that Summer Reading Logs and BINGO Sheets are due Friday, July 31 for entries in our prize drawings. Our library closes at 2PM.

It's not too late to stop & pick up a BINGO! Complete 5 fun activities and check off 5 in a row for one entry. We have 4 age groups: 0-5, 6-11, 12-17, and adult.

Winners will be drawn at our Summer Reading Community Party on Saturday, August 1, 5-7 PM. Hope to see you there!

Looking for something fun to do with your little one this week?

Drop in anytime from 2-5:30 PM for an afternoon of exploring, building, creating, and playing together at the library!

Families can enjoy:
🌱 Hands-on activities
🧱 Building toys and blocks
🎨 Crafts
📚 Books and early learning fun

This drop-in event is designed for young children (approximately ages 3–5) and their caregivers. Come when it fits your schedule, stay as long as you'd like, and don't forget to sign up for a library card if you don't already have one!
