It's , and today we're celebrating the dedicated district staff members who work year-round to support our schools, students, and community. ❤️

As a small token of our appreciation, we stopped by with a cart full of goodies and a special treat from Travelin' Tom's Coffee of Thomas County to thank them for all they do. ☕🍪

Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact they make is felt every day. Thank you for your commitment, dedication, and the many ways you help move our district forward.

Together, we are ONE team with ONE purpose, serving students and supporting success all year long.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Leadership Summit! When we come together as ONE, great things happen. ✨

On June 4th, educators and administrators from across the district gathered to collaborate, learn, and grow as leaders. The day began with insights from Superintendent Dan Chappuis and two impactful sessions on leadership and MTSS implementation led by Jeff Washington from Solution Tree. 🌟

From there, participants engaged in specialized breakout sessions led by outstanding presenters from across our schools. Topics included WJW’s data-driven FLEX groups, Stringfellow’s PLC vocabulary strategies, Okapilco’s school culture House System, PEC’s inclusion strategies, and important district updates on behavior matrices and Infinite Campus shortcuts.
Together, we captured new ideas, inspired one another through shared experiences, strengthened our practice, and prepared to better serve our students and schools in the year ahead.

A huge thank you to all of our presenters and attendees for making this summit a success. We left connected, energized, and ready to make an impact, because the power of ONE is stronger when we learn and lead together. 💡🏫
Share your favorite takeaway or session from the summit in the comments! 👇

Preparing students for the future starts with experiences that bring learning to life! The recent visit from Be Pro Be Proud Georgia to Colquitt County High School gave students the opportunity to step inside hands-on learning environments, explore career pathways, and engage with industry professionals in meaningful ways. 👏

These experiences capture student interests, inspire future possibilities, teach valuable workforce skills, and serve our students by helping them discover opportunities beyond high school. 🌟

Through programs and partnerships like these, we continue to invest in preparing students for college, careers, and life after graduation.
