Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority aims to create jobs and increase the tax digest, enhancing the quality of life of our citizens.

Local Development Authorities play an incredibly important role in the community. Authorities create a more prosperous community through economic development efforts, which requires knowing the community well, nurturing deep relationships with many stakeholders, having well-thought-out industry recruitment strategies, and demonstrating the ability to execute and deliver economic opportunities. Som

e key focus areas of Development Authorities include: business retention and expansion, community marketing and attraction, entrepreneur and small business development, commercial real estate development, workforce growth, and long-range community planning. The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority was created in 1960 through an amendment to the Georgia Constitution. The Authority, which is housed with the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce at 116 1st Avenue SE, is governed by locally appointed board members.

We recently had the opportunity to visit with Eaglecraft, a family owned business operated by Becky and Randy Lewis, right here in Colquitt County. Eaglecraft builds beautiful doors, architectural panels, frames, and more.
Becky and Randy are both very hands on in the day-to-day operations. When you stop by, you will likely find Randy in the shop crafting something impressive.

This morning, we had the opportunity to tour the new Memphis Health Food location. It’s exciting to see the significant progress already made, and we look forward to watching the final touches come together as they continue to establish their presence in Moultrie-Colquitt County.

We are excited to welcome Preston Jimmerson, owner and operator of Moss Family Farms in Doerun, as our newest board member.
Preston leads a 2,500 acre diversified farming operation producing cotton, peanuts, cabbage, and pecans. A graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in Diversified Agriculture, he is deeply committed to innovation, conservation, and long term sustainability in Georgia agriculture.
In addition to his work on the farm, Preston brings valuable leadership experience through his service on numerous boards, including Tifton Quality Peanut Company, Colquitt County Farm Bureau, UGA Archway Partnership (Colquitt County), Moultrie Bank & Trust, and Cotton Incorporated. His dedication to strengthening rural communities and supporting economic growth makes him a tremendous asset to our board.
Preston and his wife, Kristen, have four children: Kate, Jake, John Parker, and Powell.

📍 Concrete Collaborative is expanding manufacturing in Moultrie!
Concrete Collaborative, located at 127 Sunset Circle, is a Southern California based, family owned manufacturer specializing in handcrafted, sustainable, and high performance concrete and terrazzo finishes. The company creates durable, eco friendly, custom designed tiles, pavers, and countertops for both residential and commercial projects.
Their Moultrie facility has been used for warehouse and distribution operations, but we’re excited to share that Concrete Collaborative will now begin manufacturing their beautiful pieces right here in Moultrie.
As they expand local production, Concrete Collaborative is now hiring, with positions that include working with concrete and carpentry.

The Moultrie‑Colquitt County Development Authority is pleased to welcome RJ Taylor as a new board member. RJ was appointed by the City of Moultrie to serve on the Authority and brings both professional experience and a strong commitment to community service.
A 2009 graduate of Colquitt County High School, RJ went on to attend Henderson State University on a football scholarship. He is currently with Edward Jones and returned home to Moultrie in 2021 after several years in Atlanta.
RJ has been actively involved in our community, serving on multiple boards. He is the son of Faye Taylor and Coach Ralph Taylor and is married to Alexis Taylor. Together they are raising three children: Maryah (4), True (2), and Noelle (1).
RJ shared the following about his decision to serve:

“Moultrie helped shape who I am, and I’ve always felt a responsibility to give back. I joined the Economic Development Authority to build on the good work already underway and help shape an economic future that creates opportunity, attracts investment, and supports meaningful jobs across our community for generations.”

📢Memphis Health Food Launches Manufacturing Expansion in Moultrie, Georgia 📢

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority (MCCDA), in partnership with Memphis Health Food Distributors LLC, announced the launch of a new U.S.-based manufacturing initiative in Moultrie, Colquitt County, Georgia. Memphis Health Food, a healthy food and supplement product company, will expand its domestic production capacity and enhance supply chain resilience.
