While we may have joked yesterday about all the “fun” United Ways of Georgia CEO Conference has provided, there is no doubt that Caroline has been hard at work representing both United Way of Colquitt County and United Ways of Georgia.
In addition to her responsibilities as Executive Director of United Way of Colquitt County, Caroline serves as Board Chair for United Ways of Georgia—a role that has been an important part of the work taking place during this conference, updating the titles to more accurately reflect the roles of the board.
Over the past three days, leaders from across the state have tackled some significant priorities, including developing a three-year strategic plan for United Ways of Georgia and beginning the process of updating the organization’s bylaws to better reflect the needs of today’s United Way network.
The conference also included an insightful session with Dr. Stephanie Hoopes, National Director of United for ALICE, who provided valuable insight into the state of ALICE in Georgia and the challenges faced by households who are working, but still struggling to make ends meet.
It’s clear that a tremendous amount of meaningful work has been accomplished in just a few short days—and we are incredibly proud of Caroline for the leadership, time and dedication she continues to give to both organizations.
We can’t wait to hear everything Caroline has learned and, most importantly, explore how we can bring those insights and strategies home to strengthen our work, maximize our impact and better serve the people of Colquitt County.
We’re proud to have you representing us, Caroline! ❤️
