💙 What a meaningful way to wrap up the 2026 YES Youth Enrichment Summer Camp! 💙

The final day of camp was filled with opportunities for participants to showcase all they had learned throughout the week. Students put their budgeting and decision-making skills to the test during a shopping challenge at Piggly Wiggly, carefully selecting groceries and household essentials while staying within a set budget.

The best part? Every item purchased was donated to Serenity House of Colquitt County! 🛒❤️ Through this experience, campers learned firsthand how thoughtful planning and generosity can make a difference in the lives of others.

The day concluded with a formal sit-down dinner where participants demonstrated the etiquette, communication, and leadership skills they developed throughout the week. From table manners to confident conversation, these young leaders proudly showcased their growth and maturity.

We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful to the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council for providing such impactful opportunities that equip our youth with life skills, confidence, and a heart for service. These are the programs that United Way is proud to support!

🌟 Making Summer Count! 🌟

This summer, local youth are learning, growing, and creating lasting memories through the YES! (Youth Enrichment Summit) Summer Camp hosted by the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council. Designed to enrich, empower, and inspire young people, the program provides educational activities, leadership development, life skills training, and exciting experiences that help participants reach their full potential.

United Way of Colquitt County is proud to help support this incredible program through our community investments. We were honored to be the guest for their first Lunch and Learn of the week, telling the students all about what United Way of Colquitt County does for our community. Together, we're helping build brighter futures for the next generation right here in Colquitt County! 💙

Thank you to the Community Action Council for providing opportunities that keep our youth engaged, encouraged, and inspired all summer long. ☀️🎉

1,822 books delivered this month! 📚

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library delivered 1,822 books this month to children in our program. That is 1,822 little readers receiving a brand new book right to their doorstep.

If your child is not yet signed up, we would love to help get them enrolled. Every book makes a difference! DM Colquitt County Educational Foundation to get started!

We are beyond thrilled to be a financial supporter of this amazing program putting books into the hands and homes of young readers in Colquitt County.
