🦫 Meet Juniper! 🦫

We have a very special new arrival at Easler Acres! Everyone meet Juniper, a beautiful 5-month-old beaver who came to us from Savannah Wildlife Rescue in Savannah, Georgia. ❤️

Juniper even made quite the entrance, catching a flight from Savannah and landing right here at Moultrie Municipal Airport. 😂✈️ I think she may officially be our first rehab patient with frequent flyer miles!

But the most special part of Juniper’s story is the reason she is here.

Jeanne at Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center loved this little girl enough to make a decision that I know wasn’t easy. She knew that as Juniper grew, what she needed most was the opportunity to be raised alongside other beavers.

We have so much respect and appreciation for Jeanne for making that decision and for trusting Easler Acres with the next chapter of Juniper’s rehabilitation. The care she has already poured into this little girl is obvious, and we are honored to continue it. ❤️

Juniper is settling in beautifully, and soon she’ll get to experience something pretty important for a young beaver: having other beavers to learn from, grow with, and just be a beaver with. 🦫🦫🦫

Welcome to Easler Acres, Juniper. 💚

😭❤️ Y’ALL DID IT. AND YOU DID IT FAST.

We are sitting here looking at SIX brand-new incubators and trying to find the words to explain what this means to us.

Our Baby Warm campaign had a goal of $1,890 to fund six TLC-30 Advanced incubators for the tiny wildlife patients who come through our doors.

YOU FUNDED EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. 🥹

And you did it so quickly that we are still a little blown away.

These aren’t just pieces of equipment sitting on a table. These incubators mean warmth for a newborn who can’t regulate its own body temperature. They mean a safe, controlled environment for the tiny, fragile babies who arrive cold, injured, orphaned, and sometimes barely hanging on.

We want to recognize the incredible people who made this happen:

❤️ Lakin Mercer
❤️ Talina Collier
❤️ Rachel Smith
❤️ Shannon Belcher
❤️ Lindsey Palmer
❤️ Alisha Story
❤️ Paige Fletcher
❤️ Debbie Wilburn
❤️ Sandra Feltmate
❤️ Juliet Cutler
❤️ Kayden Hurst
❤️ And our three anonymous donors

Whether you donated $5 or helped finish the goal, please know that your name is now part of the story of every little life these incubators help save.

Wildlife rehabilitation is expensive. It is exhausting. And there are days when the need feels so much bigger than what we can possibly provide on our own.

But then our community does something like this.

You remind us that we AREN’T doing it alone.

From the absolute bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. Thank you for believing in what we do. Thank you for investing in these animals. Thank you for answering our crazy-big ask with an even bigger show of love.

Six incubators. $1,890 raised. Goal completely funded. ❤️

Now look at that first picture.

That is what YOU did. 🥹🐿️❤️

Every one of those incubators represents a chance for another tiny life.

And we promise you, we’re going to put them to work. ❤️

The glamorous side of wildlife rehab, folks.

One minute you’re feeding adorable baby squirrels… the next you’re making a tiny squirrel a protective jumpsuit because his sibling won’t leave his “nipple” alone. 🤦‍♀️

0/10 experience. He does not recommend having siblings. 🐿️

📣 INTAKE UPDATE: WE ARE CURRENTLY FULL

We have officially reached the point where we have as many little mouths to feed as we can physically manage in a 24-hour period.

For now, Easler Acres is FULL for wildlife intakes.

But PLEASE still reach out if you find wildlife in need.❤️ We will try to connect you with a Rehabber that can help.

Thank you for understanding and for continuing to trust us with the wildlife in our community. 🐿️🌿

I just have to brag on my boy for a minute. ❤️

Chandler works so incredibly hard here at Easler Acres, and I don’t think he always realizes just how much I notice it.

Wildlife rehab has a way of becoming so much more than just something we do. It becomes a part of our everyday lives. There are babies that need to be fed, cages that need to be cleaned, animals that need attention, and plans that change at the drop of a hat because something needs us.

And through all of it, Chandler has been right there.

He works hard. He helps without complaining. He has learned so much, and most importantly, he has such a good heart for these animals.

But what makes me the proudest is how understanding he is about having to share his mama with them. ❤️

There are plenty of times when an animal has needed me when Chandler probably would have rather had my attention. Times when I’ve been exhausted, busy feeding babies, answering calls, or handling an emergency. And instead of making me feel guilty about it, he understands why I do it and jumps right in beside me.

That means more to me than he will probably ever know.

Chandler, I hope you always know how incredibly proud I am to be your mama. Easler Acres wouldn’t be the same without you, and neither would I.

Thank you for loving the animals, for working so hard, and most of all, for sharing your mama with all the little lives that need her. ❤️

I love you more than you’ll ever know, buddy. And I am SO proud of the young man you are becoming. 🥹❤️

A HUGE thank you to Talina for sending a Walmart grocery delivery for our wildlife patients! 🥹💚🐿️🦫

This may look like a grocery order, but to us, it’s one less expense we have to worry about and a whole lot of little bellies we get to fill. ❤️

One thing people may not realize about wildlife rehabilitation is just how much we spend on produce. When you’re feeding this many animals every single day, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and other foods disappear FAST. 🥬🥦🫐🍎

And y’all know… groceries aren’t cheap anymore. 😅

That’s why deliveries like this mean SO much to us. Every grocery order sent directly to the rehab helps take a little bit of that financial burden off of us and allows us to keep providing these animals with the nutrition they need to grow, heal and eventually return to the wild.

Thank you, Talina, for feeding our babies today. 🥹❤️ We appreciate you more than you know!

If anyone else would like to help, sending us a Walmart grocery delivery is one of the easiest and most helpful ways to directly support the animals in our care. Even a few items make a difference when you’re feeding this many mouths!

It truly takes a community to do what we do, and we’re so thankful for ours. 💚

This photo is exactly why we’re asking for your help. 🐿️❤️

Just look at these babies. Curled up together, warm, safe and completely dependent on us for everything.

For orphaned wildlife, warmth isn’t just about keeping them comfortable. It can be the difference between life and death.

These babies come to us cold, injured, dehydrated, orphaned and sometimes barely hanging on. Having a quality incubator ready for them gives us the ability to provide the stable, controlled warmth their tiny bodies desperately need.

That’s why our Baby Warm Campaign means so much to us.

Wildlife rehabilitation is incredibly rewarding, but y’all, it is expensive. Formula, medications, vet care, bedding, food, equipment, enclosures, utilities… it adds up so quickly. We gladly give our time, lose the sleep and do the work because we love these babies and believe their lives are worth fighting for.

But we simply cannot do it alone.

If you’ve ever smiled at one of our babies, followed their journey, celebrated a release with us or just believe these little lives deserve a chance, please, please consider donating to our Baby Warm Campaign.

Even $5 or $10 helps. It may not seem like much, but when our community comes together, those small donations add up to something that can literally help us save a life.

If you can’t donate, please share this post. You never know who might see it and decide to help.

From us and all of these precious little babies who can’t say it themselves, thank you. ❤️
