PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the person in the attached photos.

The person in the picture is wanted for questioning in connection with a recent theft that occurred in the Pleasanton area. The vehicle in the picture appears to be a dark colored older model Ford Ranger pickup.

If you have any information, please contact the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and ask to speak with a detective.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple reports of residents getting calls from someone claiming to be “Deputy Timothy Hawkins” with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Please be aware: There is no Deputy Timothy Hawkins employed by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. These calls are fraudulent and are likely an attempt to scam residents.

If you receive a call or voicemail from someone using this name, do not provide personal information, payment, gift cards, banking information, or any other sensitive details. Hang up and contact the Linn County Sheriff’s Office directly if you have concerns.

Please share this information with family, friends, and neighbors to help prevent others from becoming victims.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the person or persons driving the vehicle shown in the attached photos.

The vehicle and its occupants are wanted for questioning in connection with a recent theft that occurred in the Sugar Valley area. The vehicle appears to be a late-model gray Chevrolet Malibu.

🎒🚔 Back-to-School Bash with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office! 🚔🎒

Join us on the Linn County Courthouse lawn on August 15th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an evening of family fun, food, and community support!

We’ll be serving grilled hot dogs and potato chips for a good-will donation, and there will be bounce houses for the kiddos to enjoy.

All donations will support North Pole Patrol, a program that helps provide Christmas gifts for children in need during the holiday season.

Bring the family, invite your friends, and come help us make a difference for local kids! ❤️🎁
