Today, we join countless others in honoring and remembering Deputy Logan Utt as he is laid to rest.

Logan answered the call to serve throughout his life. Whether as a member of the fire service here at Bannertown Volunteer Fire Department or as a deputy with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, he dedicated himself to protecting and helping others. His service, sacrifice, and commitment to his community will never be forgotten.

As family, friends, fellow deputies, firefighters, and members of the community gather today, we ask everyone to keep Logan’s loved ones in their thoughts and prayers. May they find comfort in the outpouring of support and in knowing that Logan’s legacy of service will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

Today, we honor a brother, a public servant, and a hero.

Rest in peace, Deputy Logan Utt. Your watch is ended, but your memory will live on forever.

It is with profound sadness that Bannertown Volunteer Fire Department mourns the loss of Deputy Logan Utt, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while serving the citizens of Carroll County.

Logan was not only a dedicated law enforcement officer, but also a member of the Bannertown family, having previously served our community as a paid firefighter. His commitment to helping others, whether wearing a deputy’s badge or a firefighter’s turnout gear, reflected the very best of public service.

Today, we honor Logan’s courage, dedication, and selfless service. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, fellow deputies, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and unwavering commitment to others.

The fire service and law enforcement communities stand united in grief as we remember a brother who answered the call to serve.

Rest easy, Deputy Utt. We have the watch from here.
