The Bannertown Volunteer Fire Department is proud to support one of our fellow firefighters, Dakota Epperson, as he faces ongoing medical expenses.

Our firefighting family has always stood together through life’s toughest moments, and now we’re asking our community to stand with us. We are selling benefit raffle tickets, with all proceeds going directly toward Dakota’s medical expenses.

🛑 Back-to-School Safety Reminder: Know When to Stop for a School Bus! 🚌

As students head back to school, let’s all do our part to keep them safe. Every time a school bus stops with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, children’s lives are depending on drivers to pay attention.

In North Carolina:
🚸 On a two-lane road, traffic in both directions must stop.
🚸 On a four-lane road without a median, traffic in both directions must stop.
🚸 On a divided highway with a median, only traffic traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop.
🚸 On a road with a center turning lane, only traffic following the bus must stop.

Take a few extra seconds. Slow down. Stay alert. Help every child arrive home safely.
