Learning was extra SWEET in Mrs. Nance’s 1st grade class this week! 🥧💕

Students have been learning about main idea while also exploring what it means to be a good friend. After reading What Is a Pal? and Enemy Pie, they talked about the special “ingredients” that make a great friendship—kindness, sharing, helping, listening, and sometimes a little time! ❤️

Today, they put their learning into action by creating their very own Friendship Pies! 🥧 Each pie was filled with all the ingredients they think make a friendship extra sweet.

A little reading, a little creativity—now THAT’S a recipe for learning! 📚🥧🌟
