Week #1 of summer day camps made us 😊!

We had different activities for different age groups, but all the campers got their hands busy DOING. There was farm equipment & animals, discoveries & inventions, deep diving into our values, character traits and so much more. ❤️

Hi everyone! My name is Kami Willis and I am excited to be the Summer 2026 Americorps Intern here at Ringgold County Extension! I graduated from Mount Ayr Community Schools and am currently attending Iowa State University, where I am majoring in Agriculture Communications.

I am the daughter of Cole and Casey Willis. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, golfing, and helping my sister with her show pigs. I spent many years involved in 4-H growing up. Those experiences created so many great memories and opportunities for me, which is why I am excited to work with youth and help them enjoy the same kinds of experiences that meant so much to me.

I’m looking forward to this opportunity and excited for a great summer!🍀

Note to 4-H Families: The "4-H Member Fair Book" with schedule, classes, rules, resources and entry forms will be available for pick up starting the week of May 18. ❤🍀

There are still spots available at all our summer camps; some are filling up faster than others. Don't wait! Registration closes on May 26th or once the camp is full, whichever comes first.

🍀❗️ATTENTION: 4-H FAMILIES❗️🍀

⏰ ANIMAL ID DEADLINE: MAY 15 is quickly approaching!
All 4-H and FFA members MUST identify any animals that might be shown at the Ringgold County Fair and/or Iowa State Fair by 11:59 pm on May 15.

This includes: BEEF (breeding heifers, feeder calves, bucket calves, cow/calf pairs), DOG, GOAT (breeding, market, dairy), HORSE/PONY/MULE, SHEEP (breeding, market) and SWINE (breeding, market).

Note: Pets, Poultry and Rabbits DO NOT need to be identified in 4-H Online. Exception = rabbits that might be exhibited at the Iowa State Fair must be in 4-H Online on or before July 1.

Reminder: ALL beef exhibits are required to have an approved Iowa 4-H or official USDA form of ID. A farm tag is not sufficient! Tags are available at the Extension office. This tag # needs to be part of the info entered into 4-H Online.

⚠️ NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for late entries.

Our summer day camps are open to youth who will be going into grades Kindergarten - 6th grade. Each day camp has a different theme, but all will include hands-on learning, outdoor activities and fun.
