Snow is sticking down to Ice House. Multiple vehicles are spun out and blocking the road. Please avoid the area if possible and always bring chains if coming to the mountains.

This evening your responded to a 17 year old hiker (face hidden) who had slid into a tree at the 9500’ level. This young man, aware of the recent deaths on , hiked to the west side of the bowl alone, removed his crampons and attempted to glissade, hitting a tree, which likely prevented a much worse ending for him.

We want to thank our partners at Copter 21, for the hoist assist. Please avoid MtBaldy unless you are trained, well equipped and not alone.
