💙 October is Safe Sleep Awareness Month!
Remember the ABCs of safe sleep for every nap and every night:
👶 A — Alone: In their own sleep space—sharing your room, not your bed.
💤 B — Back: Always place baby on their back to sleep.
🛏️ C — Crib: Use a safety-approved crib or bassinet with a firm, flat mattress and fitted sheet. Keep blankets, pillows, and toys out.
Small steps can help keep your little one safe. 💙

Ground cinnamon sold in these 6 states recalled. See product
Ground cinnamon seasoning sold in six states has been recalled because it may be contaminated with lead.
Galil Importing Corp of New York has recalled its Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning because the product may contain elevated levels of lead, according to a Sept. 24 U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recall report. Short-term exposure to low levels of lead may not cause symptoms other than elevated blood lead levels. If a child is exposed to lead for a few weeks to a few months, permanent damage can occur to the central nervous system, according to the FDA.
As of Sept. 24, Galil was not aware of any illnesses related to the recall.
Here's what to know about the ground cinnamon recall.
What ground cinnamon was recalled?
Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning with the UPC 794711005484 is affected by the recall; it was sold in 90-gram transparent plastic containers with lot code GAP11304, according to the Sept. 24 notice.
Where was the recalled ground cinnamon sold?
The recalled Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning was sold at retail stores, grocery stores, delis and supermarkets in the following states:
• Florida
• Illinois
• New Jersey
• New York
• Pennslyvania
• Texas

🚨 BE AWARE OF THE SYMPTOMS OF AN ANIMAL AFFECTED BY RABIES 🦊🦇🦝

Rabies is a serious and potentially fatal disease that can affect mammals—including pets and wildlife. Knowing the warning signs can help keep you, your family, and your pets safe.

🐾 Signs to watch for in an animal may include:
• Licking or biting at wounds
• Being unusually sensitive to light, touch, or sound
• Foaming or excessive drooling at the mouth
• Unusual or aggressive behavior

⚠️ Never approach or handle an animal that appears sick, injured, or is behaving unusually. Keep children and pets away and contact animal control or local authorities for assistance.

If you or someone in your household is bitten or scratched by an animal, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water and seek medical attention right away.
