On Monday, Mount Clemens Fire Department underwent annual hose testing. Every length of hose from each Engine and the Truck were systematically removed, tested, and repacked. This annual testing ensures that our hoses are ready to go and wont fail unexpectedly when we need them most. It also gives us a much needed opportunity to perform thorough maintenance and in depth cleaning of the areas usually inaccessible due to our hose loads. We continue, every day, to be committed to our mission by ensuring our equipment is always ready.

Line of Duty Death Notification
The Lincoln Park Fire Fighters Local 1292 regret to announce the Line of Duty Death of Sgt. Adam Amrozi, who passed on July 19th. Sgt. Amrozi’s death has been classified as a Line of Duty Death, occurring while off shift, in recognition of the circumstances surrounding his passing and his dedicated service to the Lincoln Park Fire Department. Sgt. Amrozi honorably served our community for 22 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment, empathy, and courage throughout his career.

All emergency vehicles wishing to participate must be in line by 08:30 at 10915 Allen Rd. Allen Park, Michigan.

Please report to the staging officer for instructions.
The procession will depart at 09:00.
The procession will arrive at 3200 West Rd. Trenton, Michigan, at approximately 09:45, where a respectful transfer into the funeral home will take place.

Mount Clemens Firefighters are currently on scene of a roll over accident at NB Gratiot Ave and Church St. The driver was assisted out by a local business and medical staff from a nearby doctors office were giving aid. Please avoid the area as there are utility poles damaged - roads have been shut down.

Beginning this evening, Mount Clemens will experience extremely poor air quality due to wildfire smoke from Canada. The smoke is likely to linger for a couple of days with poor air quality predicted for at least through Friday. Please take the next few days to relax inside as much as possible and save the outdoor projects for next week. Our more air quality sensitive residents and visitors are encouraged to take extra precautions to prepare.

This is an important message from our team at Michigan Storm Chasers. Just the facts. Our air quality begins to dip across the majority of the state as we head into the mid-afternoon hours today, July 15th, 2026. By sunset tonight, nearly the entire state will see 150+ μg/m³ AQI concentration, which translates to very unhealthy on the air quality index. Overnight, those winds out of the northwest do not stop, bumping parts of our area into the hazardous to everyone category at 250.5-500 μg/m³ AQI concentration if recent short-term model trends are correct.

Dangerous air quality levels like these are rare, so please take your respiratory health very seriously. Smoke concerns mixed with the already excessive heat concerns both today and tomorrow will also be a factor for higher mortality rates amongst all age/health groups, per research collected by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). All data shown is for fine particulate matter (PM2.5).

Follow along for updates. Outdoor activities beyond this evening should monitor the AQI very closely.

From time to time you may see our crews around the firehouse or around the city training. Flowing water, walking around buildings, or opening hydrants, when our firefighters are not responding to calls, the on duty shift will conduct training together, usually once per day, depending on the training scheduled for the day and the call volume. We conduct frequent trainings of all kinds from hose deployment, to EMS, to water rescue in order to stay sharp and stay ready for when you need us most. Here we have our Probationary Firefighter preparing to conduct a drill as the engineer, or driver, of the fire engine. This training involves the engineer pulling up to a simulated fire, while one of the other firefighters deploys a hose line and flows water, the engineer must establish a water supply with a fire hydrant before the water on the fire engine runs out. It is very important that our crews don’t run out of water while inside of a burning building and this drill reenforces the skills necessary to prevent that and builds confidence in our new members.

This morning at approximately 2:15am, Engine-2 and Truck-1 were dispatched for a possible structure fire on Meadle St. E-2 arrived to find a fully involved detached garage fire that had already suffered significant structural collapse. The fire had extended to 4 vehicles in the driveway, the house, and a separate detached garage from a different residence. E-2’s deck gun was deployed immediately and, at 1000 gallons per minute, significantly slowed the fire down allowing time for crews to pull 3 hand-lines and established a water supply. The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes and brought under control not long after. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for all their help.
