"The purpose of the Macomb County Circuit Court is to serve the public by providing a fair, expeditious and impartial forum for the resolution of civil and criminal matters through the rule of law." The 16th Judicial Circuit Court (Macomb County) is a trial court of general jurisdiction, which means that it handles all types of caes except those given by state law to another court. The Criminal Di

vision handles all Macomb County felony cases and some serious misdemeanor cases. The Family Division handles all domestic relations and juvenile matters including delinquency, abuse, neglect, and adoption cases. The Center is located on the 3rd floor of the Circuit Court building and available to the public free of charge.

Almost 17,000 people have visited the Center since its opening.
