Adults are invited to the performance of classical violin composers by Violinist Ilana Zaks this coming Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00pm, thanks to The Mount Dora Library Association. Ilana served as first violinist with Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera and currently teaches in her private studio in Maitland and at the Boston University Tanglewood Instititue. Good morning from our Nunan Butterfly Garden! Starry rosinweed (Silphium asteriscus) is a tall flowering native wildflower that grows vertically and doesn’t take up a lot of ground in the garden. It’s drought-resistant, blooms nearly every day from late spring through fall and produces abundant nectar for butterflies and bees.
