This group is designed to create lines of communication with one another and to create dialogue free of repercussions, though we ask you not to engage in name-calling or profanity. We are interested in building an inclusive LCDEC and a greater and more open local Party discussing the realities of the challenges we all face and seekin

g an improved outcome for Lake County Democrats. This group is established to do the following:
- Internal Democratic Party strategy specific to Lake County
- How to increase DEC membership and cover more precincts
- Provide resources, information, and materials to Lake County Democrats
- Start dialogue on party matters and open conversation to build a better party
- Develop goals for the LCDEC
- Discuss upcoming mid-term elections
- Candidate recruitment
- Party questions

Clermont resident Lisandra Perez Raya, a 23-year-old mother in our community is sitting in the Tavares Detention Center tonight, separated from her four-month-old baby. This happened when Clermont Police arrested her during a routine traffic stop and referred her to ICE on April 26.

Please arrive ready to protest with a sign - we will have materials if you need them.

Join the Lake County Democratic Party’s 2026 Fundraiser to support our party and Democratic candidates. The evening will feature Jerry Demings, Democratic candidate for Governor and Mayor of Orange County (2018–2026), with an introduction by former Congresswoman Val Demings. The program will also include U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Angie Nixon.
