Washington Parish Fire Department District 9

Washington Parish Fire Department District 9 WPFD 9 is a completely volunteer department that serves a small community here in Mount Hermon, Louisiana.

WPFD 9 consists of about 40 members that are made up of fire fighters, first responders, and EMTs. Each year our call volume varies from around 300-400 calls a year. The department weekly trainings every Monday nights at 7:00 pm.

Parish President Ryan Seal issues a parish-wide Burn Ban effective today, August 5, 2026 for 14 days. This could be extended if conditions do not improve.
