Tuesday 08/04 is National Night Out. SMRA will be set up at the Carlisle Fairgrounds discussing Amateur Radio and our club! If you or someone you know is interested in the hobby and wants to learn more, please have them stop by and see us!

Today is ARRL Field Day. SMRA will be setup at 180 Army Heritage Drive in Carlisle (Cumberland County Emergency Services Training Academy). Setup has begun. Radio operations will start at 2pm today, and run through the night until 12pm tomorrow. Come stop by to learn more about amateur radio and try your hand at transmitting on a station! Hope to see you there.

Last night we had a great turn out at our MTM meeting! We built a 2m ground plane antenna at The Winery at Long Shot Farms in Carlisle. Everyone who attended was able to practice radio skills by building their antenna and they got to take it home with them after the meeting! Thank you to Chaz for putting everything together for this meeting. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with the antenna builds and to everyone who attended for making it a great event!

Tomorrow morning at 9:00am is the SMRA weekly rag-chew net! Join us on 443.30 (+5 Mhz offset, 67hz tone) to spend some time talking and making friends. No net control, just conversation.
