🎉 Happy Oscar the Grouch Day! 🗑️ Let's take a page from Oscar's book and talk about boundaries. Just like Oscar loves his trash can, we all need our personal space and boundaries to thrive. Setting boundaries is key to maintaining our mental health and happiness.

Happy International Children’s Day to every beautiful child around the world! 🌍❤️
Today, we celebrate the joy, innocence, brilliance, and limitless potential that children bring into our lives. Every child is a gift, a light of hope, and a promise for a brighter tomorrow.
Children deserve love, protection, quality education, good health, guidance, and the freedom to dream without fear. Their laughter reminds us of happiness, their curiosity inspires creativity, and their courage teaches us resilience.
As we celebrate this special day, let us remember that every child matters — regardless of background, race, gender, or status. Together, we must create a world where children are safe, valued, heard, and given every opportunity to grow into great leaders of tomorrow.
To all the amazing children: Keep shining brightly, keep believing in yourselves, and never stop dreaming big. The future belongs to you! ✨

Sample ballots for the New Jersey Primary Election are on their way to the mailboxes of thousands of Burlington County voters, and election officials are advising those voters to bring them to their polling place to save time checking in.

“Sample ballots are important for several reasons. They help voters familiarize themselves with their ballot and the candidates they will choose between before they enter a voting booth,” said Burlington County Clerk Joanne Schwartz. “Sample ballots also have information about each voter’s individual polling place and voting district. It’s very important to check because several towns have made changes to voting districts and polling locations this year.”

“Sample ballots are imprinted with unique barcodes with each individual voter’s information. Poll workers can scan the barcode to quickly verify the information to ensure the voter has the correct ballot. While it’s not a requirement, bringing your sample ballot to the polls is a simple and secure way for voters to easily check in,” Schwartz added.

Otherwise, poll workers will still look up the voter’s name and address to confirm their registration and ensure they use the correct ballot if the voter does not bring their sample ballot.

More than 321,000 sample ballots were mailed to registered Democrats, Republicans, and unaffiliated voters who have not yet returned a vote-by-mail ballot. The sample ballot includes a voter’s polling location and an image of their ballot, showing the candidates for elected offices and any special questions on the ballot.

Only declared Republicans and Democrats may vote in the New Jersey Primary Election. Unaffiliated voters can participate by declaring a party affiliation with the Republican or Democratic party in advance of the election, at one of Burlington County’s 10 early voting locations from May 26 through May 31, or on Primary Election Day on June 2.

Voters with sample ballot questions should contact the Burlington County Clerk’s Office at 609-265-5122.

Cooking together is about more than just making dinner. From measuring ingredients to choosing recipes, kids build confidence, independence, and life skills while families create space for conversation and connection. Even small moments in the kitchen can turn into meaningful memories.

Conversation starter: “What’s one meal or recipe you hope you always remember from childhood?”

🐣Parents of newborns can request a free home health visit from a specially trained registered nurse within 2 weeks of welcoming home the baby.

The program, called Family Connects NJ (FCNJ), is now available in 17 counties, and is on track to expand to the entire state next January.

FCNJ Director, Brandie Benson, recently sat down with WHYY to explain what the program is and how it's helped more 10,000 NJ families already.
