RV Junior, Maya Kruzdlo, brought a branch of Book Smiles to RV! Maya worked all year to support the RV Art Club in painting this bin. The bin is open 24 hours a day through June 30th! We take all books donations, but are primarily looking for children's-Young Adult books. As many school libraries have lost funding, these donations help to build the classroom libraries of elementary and middle schools across South Jersey.

Check out the RV freshmen orienting themselves to the Media Center using Breakout Boxes! Students participated in a scavenger hunt requiring them to play detective as they learned about the RV Library offerings! They used UV flashlights to unveil invisible ink messages, a task sheet filled with clues to unlock a series of 5 locks, and a red lens to reveal a secret message leading them to their prize! When they were done, they were excited to share all the 21st century skills they used while breaking into their boxes!

Times are weird and we all need a little escape. RV’s premier literary magazine, INKLINGS, is excited to announce its “Strange Worlds” Winter Short Story Contest. Our lit mag is accepting submissions for our first FANTASY and SCIENCE FICTION writing competition! Send us your very best fantasy or sci-fi story for a chance to win a Barnes & Noble gift card. Winning entries will also be published in INKLINGS.
