Our next School Spirit Night is TONIGHT! Visit the Mount Holly McDonald's (located at 704 S. Main Street) between 5:00-7:00 p.m. tonight and 15% of sales will be given back to Pinewood! Thank you to our Pinewood Performing Arts Academy PTO and Stanton Enterprise McDonalds for partnering with us to support our students! 🍔🍟🍦

Our community partners are the best! 😄❤ We have received so much support from a variety of organizations. Recently, the 101 Black Men for Highland brought supplies for our second grade team; Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - Mt Holly, NC brought us backpacks, art supplies and essentials; Cornerstone Family Worship provided first aid supplies to our teachers; and the Mount Holly CRO brought backpacks filled with more school supplies! We also want to thank Second Baptist Church, Mt. Holly, NC for providing Panera Bread breakfast for our teachers! It is such a gift to have a community that takes care of our students!!

We had such a wonderful time at our "Meet the Teacher Night" before school started! These smiling faces are the reason we are here! (Shout-out to Mrs. Copeland, our AIG teacher, for getting these awesome photos of our families and staff!) 😄

Today's the day! Go get a slushie at Sunset Slush tonight to support Pinewood! Sunset Slush is located at 548 Charles R***r Jonas Highway, Stanley. Shout-out to our wonderful PTO for kickstarting our spirit nights with such a cool treat!

🏫 Today's the day! We can't wait to see our students and families at "Meet the Teacher Night"! 🏫

Mark your calendars! Our Meet the Teacher Night is Monday, August 10th. Kindergarten will meet in the gym from 4:30-5:00 p.m., and 1st through 5th grade may come between 5:00-6:30 p.m. We hope to see you there! 😄🏫

We’re thrilled to welcome Ms. Dogan BACK to the Pinewood family! She completed her student teaching at Pinewood years ago and is excited to return! Her elementary experience, as well as her positivity and kindness, will serve our first grade students well! Here is a message from her:

“My name is Mary Jo Dogan and I am excited to be joining the 1st grade team at Pinewood! I have spent the last 12 years teaching at Tuckaseegee Elementary in Charlotte. I live in Mt. Holly and look forward to serving this great community.

I will work hard to create a safe, loving and joyful classroom where we will explore, learn and share together. I also love to incorporate the arts into learning, so I am excited to join Pinewood’s Performing Arts Program!

When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my 4 children and enjoy working in my yard, swimming, and reading. My favorite place is the beach. I look forward to an awesome year and can’t wait to meet everyone!”
