On Tuesday last week we got to taste Midwest Marinara at the Intermediate Center and it was a hit! The marinara was made with tomatoes, butternut squash, onion, carrots, and sunflower oil in a Wisconsin made sauce. The marinara was made by Pasture and Plenty for schools. Through June 30th, they are selling the sauce with a percentage of sales supporting REAP Food Group's Farm to School and Farm to Institution Programs: https://pastureandplenty.com/product/midwest-marinara/.

Yesterday, we harvested about 50 lb of lettuce from our Flex Farm! We can produce about 25 lb every 28 days and we have 3 farms! Fork Farms

New recipe at the High School today! We will be having Butter Chicken with Curry Sauce. Our creamy, mild Indian Butter Chicken is seasoned with locally sourced spices and served over fluffy rice. Our curry sauce is made in Madison, Wisconsin!

Today we will be having Kimchi for lunch! Kimchi is a traditional Korean side dish of salted and fermented vegetables. Our kimchi is "Kid Kimchi" so we will make it a little different but it is guaranteed delicious!

Today we are having Three Sisters Salad at lunch! When grown together, beans, corn, and squash work together to create teh best possible environment to thrive. The three sisters is also a story of spiritual connection that has appeared in mythology across Native American Tribes.
