🗑️ BULK TRASH EVENT — NEXT WEEK! 🗑️

📅 Bulk Trash Event: Saturday, September 12, 2026
📍 Location: Village Garage, 301 Blue Mounds St.
⏰ Time: 8am-Noon

Residents are invited to bring eligible bulk items for disposal. This is a great opportunity to clean out the garage, basement, or storage areas and get rid of those hard-to-dispose-of items.
Please remember to review the guidelines for accepted and prohibited items before you arrive.

Heads up, Mount Horeb trail users! The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is planning upgrades to the “Mount Horeb Station,” the restroom and shelter building along the Military Ridge State Trail:

💧The Mount Horeb Water Utility will be flushing hydrants September 1st through September 30th.💧
Should your water become discolored let your tap run for 5-10 minutes and it should clear up. Try to do your laundry in the evening hours if possible.

🎉 ​​The new playground is ready for play at Grandma Foster Park! Our new playground equipment has been installed and is officially open. Come check it out, climb, swing, slide, and enjoy some outdoor fun! We’re excited to see our community making memories on the new equipment.​​ 🛝✨

The RoundTrip Smart Trips Challenge is happening September 1–30! The free challenge encourages people across Dane County to swap solo car trips for biking, walking/rolling, riding the bus, or carpooling—and enter weekly and grand prize drawings along the way.

The 2026 RoundTrip Smart Trips Challenge is almost here! 🚲🚌🍂 If you’re 18+ and live or work in Dane County, we want you to join in!

All you have to do is swap solo car trips for biking, riding the bus, carpooling, or walking/rolling whenever you can throughout September. Log four round trips each week and you’ll automatically be entered into prize drawings—with some pretty cool prizes from local businesses up for grabs! 🎉

It’s free to join and a fun extra reason to try a new way of getting around (or keep up the trips you’re already making!).
