Our Student Council raised $200 through their annual fundraiser and has chosen to donate the proceeds to the Everybody Eats Fund, which helps ensure Vikings have access to food. ❤

We are beyond proud of their efforts. A huge thank you to all the students involved for their leadership and commitment to helping others, as well as Christi Breunig, Student Council Advisor!

If you are interested in donating to the Everybody Eats Fund or are a family in need of support, please contact Michelle Denk, Food Service Director, at [email protected] or call 608-437-7065. Contributions are tax-deductible.

Let’s help Mount Horeb Baseball Strike Out Cancer with 5-year-old kindergarten student Charlotte “Lottie” Sutter as she battles Wilms Tumors, a pediatric form of kidney cancer! ⚾

Our first goal is to create a sea of support: please consider purchasing a Strike Out Cancer t-shirt to wear on May 8th—even if you can’t make the game. The online store is open now at https://mhbaseballstrikeout-26.itemorder.com/, and orders must be placed by March 30th.

All proceeds from this year’s May 8th game and fundraisers will go to Charlotte’s family. Mark your calendar to also join us on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Mount Horeb Baseball Field for the game, concessions, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. More information will be shared soon.

Our Science Olympiad Team competed in 20 events at the Regional Tournament in Milwaukee on Saturday! 🙌

This was a very competitive tournament, and several event teams were close to medaling, and two medals were earned: Anatomy & Physiology and Meteorology. The entire team represented Mount. Horeb well, and both the Red and White Teams qualified for the State Tournament in April.

Join us in congratulating the entire team! Also, many thanks to the coaches, parent chaperones, and bus driver for helping make this such a successful day.

Our first graders had an unforgettable experience with a live animal program! 🐾

Students had the chance to meet some incredible animal ambassadors, including Snowflake the chinchilla, Bob the tegu, Miss Marvin the dwarf hairy armadillo, Oliver the kinkajou, and Montgomery the Burmese python. What a fun and engaging way to learn about wildlife up close!

A big thank you to Zoozort for sharing their time and amazing animals with our students—we loved every minute of it! Shoutout to our incredible first-grade teachers for helping make this experience possible for their students.

This after-school program has a goal of supporting girls socially, emotionally, and physically while helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and find joy in movement.

Registration for the Mount Horeb team is now open, with spots available. For more information about fees and financial assistance, contact Amanda Braverman-Brohn at [email protected], or learn more and register at www.girlsontherunscwi.org.

We’re proud to celebrate the incredible work of our Snack Pack Club! 👏

Founded by a dedicated group of sophomores, they approached our very own Beth Maglio with a plan to partner with Friends of the State Street Family to create snack packs for individuals experiencing homelessness—and they made it happen.

Together, they’ve assembled and distributed over 500 snack packs—and counting! Over the course of five meetings, these students poured their creativity and compassion into decorating bags with cheerful drawings, funny jokes, and heartfelt messages to brighten someone’s day. Thanks to the support of several teachers who secured Thrivent Mini-Grants, this project has truly taken off.

We’re inspired by our students' leadership, generosity, and commitment to making a difference.

The creativity, dedication, and passion on display made it a night to remember. We loved celebrating all that our students do!

Today, fifth-grader Eloise Malone stepped into her role as Superintendent for the day! ✨

Among her many accolades, which qualify her for the position, she is a thoughtful and bright student and a great friend to her peers. She rocked her new title with swag from the School Store, attending a Rotary meeting, leading bus inspections, reading to students in Mr. Pelton's and Mrs. Lawson's classes, checking in with District Staff, and even a quick trip to the school store, and so much more. She led with heart and dedication!
