Meet the kids behind the cattle! This is Ashlyn, Lawrence, and Jameson Funkhouser, and Jackson, and Taylor Hollar. As parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts we couldn’t be more proud of them for their interest in agriculture!

Meet Smokey he’s a twin from a first time heifer. His front tendons are contracted which caused him to have some issues standing and walking. We had to pull him from his mother and we’re bottle feeding him. His mother took the other bull calf and he’s doing great. Smokey already follows us around the barn, and is getting around better than expected! With time they should stretch out and he should be fine.

We recently purchased this beautiful cow calf pair from Lisa Zirkle’s shenandoah’s shining stars sale. We have high hopes for this pure bred Simmental bull calf!
