August Update!
After a summer break, the Friends are back in action! We resumed our meeting schedule in August and were delighted to welcome three new members to our group. With fall just around the corner, we're already busy planning for a season full of fun and support for our library.
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with the Mount Joy Lions Club about the work of the Friends. We are fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful service organizations that help make our community stronger. We love collaborating with local groups, so if your organization would be interested in partnering with us, we'd love to hear from you! Contact us at [email protected].
As many of you know, Mount Joy's 175th Celebration was postponed in June and has been rescheduled for September 12. Be sure to stop by the Friends booth! We'll have a lollipop tree, free books for children, and temporary tattoos. We look forward to joining the community for this exciting hometown celebration!
We were also thrilled to present a donation check to the library on August 20. Supporting the library's valuable programs, services, and resources is at the heart of everything we do, and we're grateful for the opportunity to help.
