One of the best parts of the job isn’t always the emergency calls — sometimes it’s the unexpected moments in between.

While crews were on a call nearby, a group of curious kids (and a few excited parents) in the Jackson Hills neighborhood stopped by to check out one of our fire apparatus. Firefighters were happy to take a few minutes to give everyone a closer look, answer questions, and show off some of the equipment we use every day.

This Memorial Day, the men and women of the Mt. Juliet Fire Department pause to honor and remember the brave heroes who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today, and we will never forget those who paid the ultimate price.

As you spend time with family and friends this weekend, please take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Today, during National EMS Week, the Mt. Juliet Fire Department honors EMS Remembrance Day — a time to remember the EMS professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

We recognize the courage and dedication of those who gave their lives caring for and protecting others, and we thank all who continue to serve in EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement, and Healthcare. Your commitment to our community does not go unnoticed.

As we wrap up National EMS Week, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this week special for our crews at the Mt. Juliet Fire Department.

A huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse for their generous contribution to our EMS appreciation luncheons this week. Your support and generosity toward our first responders means more than words can express.

We would also like to recognize Assistant Chief Brent Blamires for spending countless hours smoking brisket and BBQ for each shift. The meals were incredible and truly appreciated by our personnel.

Our command staff was honored to serve those who serve our community every single day. National EMS Week is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of our EMS providers — and this week was a reminder of how fortunate we are to have such strong community support behind us.

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate the hardworking men and women of the Mt. Juliet Fire Department.

Service. Dedication. Excellence

Yesterday’s “Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive between the Mt. Juliet Fire Department and Mt. Juliet Police Department was an incredible success, and it would not have been possible without the overwhelming support of our community, city employees, public safety personnel, family members, and friends who stepped up to donate blood.

Every donation made has the potential to save multiple lives, and we are truly grateful to everyone who took the time to give back in such a meaningful way. Your generosity will make a direct impact on patients across Middle Tennessee who depend on life-saving blood products during emergencies and critical medical situations.

As pre-hospital blood administration continues to become a higher standard of care in EMS, the importance of maintaining a strong blood supply has never been greater. The ability for first responders to administer blood products before arriving at the hospital is helping improve survival rates for trauma patients, critically ill patients, and those experiencing severe blood loss. Simply put — blood saves lives, and yesterday’s donors are now part of that lifesaving mission.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this event a success during National EMS Week. We are proud to serve a community that continues to come together to support one another.

Service. Dedication. Excellence.
