Mt. Juliet Police Department Welcome to the official page of the Mt. Juliet Police Department. With Honor, We Serve

We are grateful for the continued investment that has contributed to a much safer Mt. Juliet, and we are excited about the future as we continue to stay strong, efficient, and innovative in our efforts to protect our community and push back against the crime that crosses into our city.

The Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program is ramping up! DFR is dispatched alongside our officers to active incidents and arrives on scene quickly. This technology provides valuable real-time information that enhances officer safety, improves situational awareness, and helps us deliver the most effective response possible.

Through the first five months of 2026, Mt. Juliet officers have apprehended 270 wanted individuals. Of those, 229 were not Mt. Juliet residents, accounting for 85% of all wanted persons taken into custody.

These individuals entered our city with active warrants, but thanks to the vigilance and dedication of our officers, they were identified and apprehended before moving on.

This trend continues to demonstrate an important reality: much of the criminal activity we encounter originates outside our city limits. Through efficient operations, proactive policing, high officer visibility, advanced technology such as license plate readers, and dedicated patrol efforts, our officers remain focused on keeping Mt. Juliet safe.

While many neighboring communities face increasing demands on law enforcement resources, Mt. Juliet continues to prioritize rapid response, proactive enforcement, and strong community partnerships. The support of our community plays a vital role in that success.

Keeping Mt. Juliet one of Tennessee’s safest cities doesn't happen by accident. It is the result of dedicated officers, community trust, and a shared commitment to public safety.

Coffee with a Cop is coming up, and we’re looking forward to spending time with our community!
Join us on Thursday, June 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nutrishop in Mt. Juliet. Detective Reingardt and Ian from Nutrishop are helping us spread the word, and we hope you’ll make plans to stop by.
During the event, 50% of proceeds from purchases will benefit the Mt. Juliet Police Foundation. Many members of our community have asked how they can support our police department, and those who are willing can also donate directly at mjpolicefoundation.org.
The first 100 people will receive a free shaker bottle and free protein shake from Nutrishop.
Local small businesses will be joining us with light refreshments and snacks, making it a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and enjoy time with officers and neighbors in a relaxed setting.
We hope to see you there!

Popsicle Patrol hit the streets today, and what a great afternoon it was!

Our officers spent the afternoon driving through Forest View Apartments, Stoner Creek Apartments, Mundy Park, and Legacy Park, handing out popsicles, sharing smiles, and connecting with families throughout the community.

These moments are about more than a frozen treat. They are an opportunity to build relationships, hear directly from residents, gather feedback about the service we provide, and strengthen the connections that help make Mt. Juliet such a safe and welcoming community.

Thank you to everyone who took a few minutes to chat with our officers today. We enjoyed the conversations, the laughs, and the chance to spend time with so many great families. We look forward to continuing these community connections all summer long.

We’ll be back at it next Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, visiting Charlie Daniels Park, Willow Creek, Cedar Creek Townhomes, Woodland Place, Oak Hall, and Timber Trail. If you see us out, be sure to wave us down for a popsicle and a conversation.
