Update: The temporary signals are up at Weston Dr, and all is working well. Thank you to our City’s public works team and traffic signal contractor for getting this completed quickly.

A crash, involving a medical event, this afternoon caused significant damage to a traffic signal mast at the N. Mt. Juliet Rd and Weston Dr intersection, impacting the signals that control eastbound traffic coming from Weston Dr.

Contractors responded and are actively working on a temporary signal solution to restore the intersection to full operation as quickly as possible.

Officers will be at the intersection tomorrow to help keep traffic moving and ensure drivers can safely navigate the area while repairs continue.

A bag of crack co***ne falling from a man’s pocket while he spoke with an officer during a traffic stop made this arrest pretty straightforward overnight.

An officer stopped a vehicle on Adams Lane for improperly displaying a license plate. While the driver was outside the vehicle speaking with the officer, a large bag containing crack co***ne fell from his pocket. Further investigation also uncovered evidence consistent with drug resale inside the vehicle.

The 47-year-old Mt. Juliet man was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail for unlawful possession of a Schedule II drug for resale.

Our officers remain focused on making Mt. Juliet a difficult place for those committing crimes to operate, hide, or simply pass through unnoticed.

Keeping Mt. Juliet one of Tennessee’s safest communities doesn’t happen by accident. It takes vigilant officers who pay attention to the details, proactive police work, strong partnerships, and a community that continues to stand behind the men and women working every day to protect it.

A 27-year-old Nashville man wanted after fleeing law enforcement, crashing, and running from the scene in July was apprehended this morning during a traffic stop.

An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Central Pike near Pleasant Grove Rd and discovered the passenger was wanted by Wilson County authorities.

The warrants stemmed from a July 21 incident when the man fled from law enforcement, crashed, and then ran from the scene. The investigation that followed identified him and led to warrants for his arrest.

This morning, he was apprehended and booked into the Wilson County Jail on warrants related to felony evading, misdemeanor evading, leaving the scene of a crash, and driving on a suspended license.

Our officers remain focused on making Mt. Juliet a difficult place for those committing crimes to operate, hide, or simply pass through unnoticed. The numbers continue to show just how important that proactive work is. During the first six months of 2026, Mt. Juliet officers apprehended 342 wanted individuals, with 88% being non-residents of our city.

A handgun, stolen over 6 years ago in Georgia, was recovered this evening in possession of an 18-year-old Nashville man. A traffic stop for a Move Over Law violation on Lebanon Rd near Lookout Drive led to the discovery.

During the stop, officers discovered the 18-year-old Nashville man was in possession of the stolen handgun and ma*****na, and a 21-year-old Nashville man was also found in possession of ma*****na.

The G***k handgun was reported stolen in Dekalb County, Georgia on 4/5/2020.

We’re incredibly grateful for the vigilance of our officers and their commitment to protecting Mt. Juliet every single day. Keeping our community one of Tennessee’s safest doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a dedicated team, strong partnerships, proactive police work, and a community that stands behind its officers.

A stolen vehicle is headed back to its victim, and a man wanted for felony theft is in jail after another alert helped our officers make an apprehension this afternoon.

The vehicle had been stolen from Goodlettsville two days ago. This afternoon, as it entered Mt. Juliet from Nashville on Lebanon Road, a license plate reader alerted our officers, who quickly responded and began searching the area.

An officer soon spotted the stolen vehicle parked near Lebanon Road and Devonshire Drive. Officers moved in and apprehended the driver without incident.

Further investigation revealed the driver, a 20-year-old Nashville man, was also wanted by Nashville authorities on an outstanding felony theft warrant.

Criminal activity does not stop at city limits. Those who steal in one community can quickly travel into another, which is exactly why proactive policing, responsible use of technology guided by strict policy, and strong partnerships across jurisdictional lines matter.

Our officers remain focused on making Mt. Juliet a difficult place for those committing crimes to operate, hide, or pass through.

These results continue to reinforce what our data consistently shows. During the first six months of 2026, Mt. Juliet officers apprehended 342 wanted individuals, with 88% being non-residents of our city.

SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER | WORDS HAVE CONSEQUENCES

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office would like to take an opportunity to remind parents and guardians about the importance of having conversations with their children regarding threats made toward others or our schools.

Please remind your children that words matter. A statement made as a joke, out of anger, through a text message, on social media, or in conversation can have very serious consequences when it involves a threat of violence. Tennessee law addresses threats of mass violence on school property or at school-related activities under Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-16-517. Our School Resource Officers, investigators, school administrators, and school systems take reports of threats seriously, and threats toward our students, staff, or schools will not be tolerated.

We encourage parents to talk with their children about thinking before they speak, post, text, or share something that could be perceived as threatening. Likewise, if a student becomes aware of a credible threat, they should immediately tell a trusted adult, school administrator, School Resource Officer, or law enforcement. Tennessee law also requires credible threats of mass violence involving schools to be reported.

Every child deserves the opportunity to walk into school feeling safe, supported, and ready to learn. They should be able to concentrate on their education without fear or worry that someone may harm them or others.

School safety is a shared responsibility. Parents, students, educators, school administrators, and law enforcement all have an important role. A simple conversation at home can make a difference.

Think before you speak. Think before you post. And if you see or hear something concerning, say something.

The Lebanon Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating 42-year-old Krystal Butcher. Krystal was last seen in the area of Lebanon Rd./Highway 109 N at 8:00pm on Friday, August 21.

She was wearing black pants and a black tank top. Krystal is approximately 160 pounds and 5 feet, 3 inches tall.

U-Turns are now legal in Mt. Juliet unless otherwise posted.

A previous City ordinance that prohibited U-turns citywide is no longer in effect. That old ordinance prohibited u-turns regardless of whether there was a sign posted or not.

Under the updated ordinance, U-turns are now permitted in Mt. Juliet as long as they can be made safely and there is no posted sign prohibiting a U-turn at that location.

The important change for drivers is simple: Making a U-turn is no longer a violation simply because it occurs within Mt. Juliet.

Drivers are still responsible for making U-turns and all other turning movements safely and in accordance with Tennessee traffic laws. State law continues to regulate safe turning movements, proper signaling, positioning at intersections, and turns in locations where visibility may be restricted.

So, when you’re behind the wheel:

No sign prohibiting a U-turn + it can be made safely = U-turns are permitted.

As always, please stay alert, watch surrounding traffic, signal appropriately, ensure compliance with other state traffic laws, and make sure the roadway is clear before making any turning movement.
