No Zamboni? No Problem. πŸ§ŠπŸš’
Yesterday, the Mt. Kisco Recreation Department reached out to the Mt. Kisco Fire Department for help improving ice conditions on Leonard Park Pond for skating.
Members from Station #3 Independent Fire Co. #13 , with assistance from Bedford Hills Fire Department Bedford Hills Fire Department (Tanker 5) and Katonah Fire Department Katonah Fire Department (Tanker 6), answered the call. Together, crews sprayed over 9,000 gallons of water onto the pond to help smooth and strengthen the ice.
The operation took more than 90 minutes to complete and was a great example of teamwork between departments.
⚠️ Safety Reminder: Do NOT go out onto the ice until officials have confirmed it is safe to do so.

**πŸš’ Help Us Help You: Adopt a Fire Hydrant πŸš’**
It's been almost a week since the 12+ inch snowstorm. Many fire hydrants in town are still buried and hard to find.

In an emergency, every second countsβ€”digging out a hydrant ahead of time can save critical minutes and help firefighters protect lives and property. If you see a hydrant near your home, please take a few minutes to clear snow and ice around it (about 3 feet on all sides).

Your help truly makes a difference. Thank you for helping keep our community safe! From the members of the Independent Fire Co. #13
