The Pantry

Based in Mount Kisco, The Pantry is the largest weekly choice pantry in Northern Westchester, providing nutritious food to those in need.

We invite you to learn more, help out and come visit us! Who We Serve:

Our clients come from the greater Mount Kisco area. People who walk through our doors include the working poor, the recently unemployed, families with young children, as well as those on fixed incomes. Some visit the pantry only occasionally, while others come on a regular, extended basis, depending on their need.

Service and hard work deserve to be celebrated, especially when it comes from young changemakers.

We are delighted to congratulate Elizabeth, pictured on the far left, and Esty, pictured second from the right, on receiving Rewarding Potential Scholarships, a community-supported scholarship program for students at Fox Lane High School.

Elizabeth and Esty are longtime members of The Pantry’s Student Action Council (SAC), a leadership program that brings together high school students who are passionate about fighting food insecurity and serving their communities.

Elizabeth joined the Fox Lane SAC chapter as a freshman and now serves as its president. Over the past four years, she has inspired other students to give back and will attend the University at Albany to study accounting.

Esty also joined SAC as a freshman and, now a graduating senior, has been a dedicated volunteer while balancing academics, athletics, and work. He will attend St. John’s University to study business administration.

We are proud to see Elizabeth and Esty’s dedication, leadership, and generosity recognized in this meaningful way and wish them every success as they begin this exciting new chapter.

We were honored to welcome Kristine Borok, Feeding Westchester’s new President and CEO, as the first stop on her Pantry Partner tour. Joined by Winifred Bonamico, Manager, Partner Engagement at Feeding Westchester, Kristine met with Trina Ward Fontaine, Executive Director and CEO. Pictured: Trina (left) and Kristine (right).

During their visit, they met with members of The Pantry team to discuss the growing needs in our community, the impact of our programs and partnerships, and opportunities to continue working together to nourish neighbors with dignity and care.

We are grateful to Feeding Westchester for its partnership and to Kristine and Winifred for taking the time to visit and engage in a thoughtful conversation about the challenges facing local families and our shared commitment to addressing them. We look forward to continuing to work together to nourish neighbors throughout our community.

School’s Out. Hunger Isn’t!

When school ends, many children lose access to the meals they depend on each day. Through The Pantry’s School’s Out Supplement (SOS) Program, local children receive nutritious, kid-friendly foods throughout the summer months.

Since 2019, SOS has helped more than 27,600 children—and this summer, we expect to serve more than 5,000.

Today is National Hunger Awareness Day, a reminder that hunger is not somewhere else. It is here in our own Westchester community.

One in three Westchester households is at risk of food insecurity, and many working families struggle to make ends meet.

Each week, The Pantry helps nourish about 700 families, or 2,000 neighbors, with nutritious food, dignity and care.

You can help. Drop off food, organize a food drive, become a Produce Partner, shop our Amazon Wish List, make a gift, or volunteer your time. Every bag, every dollar and every hour helps put food on the table for local families.

Happy National Egg Day! 🥚

At The Pantry, eggs are always in demand. They are simple, nutritious, protein rich, and one of the most useful foods we can offer our guests.

Do you keep chickens and sometimes have more eggs than you need? We would be grateful for your extras.

Fresh eggs and empty cartons may be dropped off at The Pantry’s double doors, behind the church off the parking lot, on Tuesday mornings from 9 AM to 12 noon.

Your egg donations help nourish our neighbors, one dozen at a time.

Dairy products provide essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and vitamin D that help support healthy families and growing children. At The Pantry we’re grateful to help connect our community with nutritious foods, including dairy items, whenever available.

This month, we celebrate the farmers, donors, volunteers (thank you Sheila!), and community partners who help make fresh, wholesome food accessible to our neighbors in need.
