With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Owen O’Hare, a lifelong resident of Mt. Kisco and a devoted 62 year member and Ex-Foreman of the Union Hook & Ladder Company.

His deep sense of civic duty defined his life—whether being local business owner, a custodian at West Patent Elementary School, serving his community as a volunteer firefighter, or in “retirement” serving the Village of Mount Kisco as a parking enforcement officer.

Owen’s legacy of service, humor, and devotion to his community will never be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and all who had the honor of serving alongside him.

Rest easy, Owen. We’ll take it from here. 🚒❤️

Wake Service: Wednesday February 4, 2026 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home (288 Main Street Mount Kisco, NY 10549)

Mass Service: Thursday February 5, 2026 at 10:00am - St. Francis of Assisi Church (2 Green Street Mt. Kisco, NY 10549)

Burial: Following Mass at Oakwood Cemetery (304 Lexington Avenue Mount Kisco, NY 10549)

We are sad to announce the passing of Bobby Finch, 52 year member of the Rescue/Fire Police. Bobby's passing has created a void in our department that will be impossible to fill. Rest in peace Bobby.

The Chief Officers and Members of the Mount Kisco Fire Department are deeply saddened with the loss of Ex- Chief Charlie Bergstrom. Charlie was a longtime member of the Chappaqua Fire Department but he held a special place for the MKFD. If you have had a hotdog in our bullpen after our annual parade, it’s a good chance that “Chucky” served it to you. Our most sincere condolences go out to his wife, daughter and the Chappaqua FD. Charlie was a wonderful person and a friend to us all. We will miss his presence at all of our department events. Rest easy Charlie.
