Durand is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant – Payroll to join our Finance team in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

💼 Salary: Up to $70,000

📍 Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ

🏢 Schedule: Full-time | Onsite, 5 days a week

👥 Payroll: Biweekly processing for 300+ employees

This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of accounting and payroll experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Paycom or another payroll/HRIS platform. NetSuite experience is a plus.

Beyond the numbers, this is an opportunity to bring your accounting expertise to a mission-driven organization where the work you do supports the people and programs that help individuals with special needs learn, grow and thrive.

💦 Making a Splash at Durand! 💦

Our students have been working hard all summer in PE, building their throwing and catching skills—and what better way to celebrate their progress than by putting those skills to use.🎯

This week, students and staff took their best shots for the chance to send Principal Jennifer and Chief Cory splashing into the dunk tank! And judging by how soaked they were by the end of the day, we’d say our students have definitely mastered their aim! 😂💦

Beyond all the laughter and splashes, days like this are a wonderful reminder that learning happens in so many different ways. Building skills, encouraging confidence, celebrating accomplishments and simply having fun together are all part of creating meaningful experiences for our students.

Thank you to our amazing staff for making learning fun and to Principal Jennifer and Chief Cory for being such great sports! 💙💛

☀️🌊 **Sunshine, Salt Air & Self-Determination!** 🦀🏖️

Sometimes, a great day is as simple as good food, fresh ocean air and your toes in the sand!

Recently, members of our Durand Adult Residential Program, accompanied by Durand staff, enjoyed a trip to Ocean City, Maryland, where they spent time relaxing on the beach, taking in the saltwater breeze and enjoying everything a beautiful summer day at the shore has to offer. Of course, no beach trip is complete without something delicious—they also stopped at Hooper’s Crab House for a great meal! 🦀

But days like this are about so much more than a trip to the beach.

At Durand, we believe strongly in self-determination, personal choice and community inclusion. The individuals we support deserve opportunities to choose how they spend their time, explore new places, enjoy favorite activities and be active participants in the communities around them.

Whether it’s dipping your feet in the ocean, sharing a meal with friends or simply sitting on the sand and enjoying the view, these everyday experiences are an important part of living a full and meaningful life. 💙

We’re grateful to the dedicated Durand staff who help turn choices into experiences and experiences into memories.

💙 Family Supporting Family at Durand 💙

There’s something incredibly special about the bond between sisters—and for Yanitza and Yaritza Hernandez, that bond is also helping create meaningful, personalized support every day.

Through Durand’s Family Supports Program, Yanitza supports her sister Yaritza as a paid Direct Support Professional (DSP). She knows Yaritza’s routines, her likes and dislikes, and can often understand exactly what she needs or is feeling from moment to moment. Whether they’re enjoying one of their favorite car rides together or heading out to visit friends, Yanitza provides support rooted in a lifetime of knowing, understanding and caring for her sister.

🧹👚 **YOU ASKED… SO WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN!** 👖📚

Our first **Declutter for Durand: Closet Cleanout for a Cause** was such a success—and we heard from quite a few people who wished they had gotten their bags together in time. So… **ROUND TWO IS HERE!** 🎉

From **Monday, August 24 through Thursday, August 27**, we’re collecting gently used clothing, shoes and textiles once again in support of **Laryssa and her Dancing With the Gloucester County Stars fundraising efforts benefiting the Durand Foundation!** 💙

And the timing couldn’t be better. With a new school year right around the corner, it’s the perfect excuse to:

👕 Make room for new school clothes
🎓 Clean out closets before heading off to college
👟 Finally tackle those “I haven’t worn this in forever” piles
♻️ Give unwanted clothing and textiles a second life
💙 Support Durand while you declutter!

As the Regional Chief Nursing Officer for Jefferson Health East Region, Dr. Edson brings an extraordinary depth of leadership, compassion, and dedication to improving the lives of others. Throughout her distinguished career, she has championed quality patient care, workforce development, behavioral health initiatives, and neurodiversity, while fostering inclusive environments where individuals, families, and healthcare professionals can thrive.

Kim's passion for service extends far beyond healthcare. From her leadership with the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women campaign to volunteering with Cathedral Kitchen and mentoring future healthcare leaders across New Jersey, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strengthening communities through service and advocacy.
