Our 7th grade students recently enjoyed an exciting field trip to Letchworth State Park, where they experienced the thrill of whitewater rafting on the Genesee River!

Students worked together, built confidence, and created lasting memories while exploring one of New York's most beautiful natural destinations. The trip provided a unique opportunity for adventure, teamwork, and outdoor learning.

Thank you to our staff and chaperones for helping make this unforgettable experience possible!

🌟 Congratulations to our May Elementary Pride Award Winners! 🌟

In May, students were recognized for demonstrating the word involved. These students stood out for their willingness to participate, contribute, and engage positively in their classrooms and school community. We are proud of the effort, energy, and commitment they show each day.

As we move into June, our new word is perseverance. We look forward to recognizing students who keep going even when things get challenging and who continue to push themselves to grow and improve.

Way to go to all of our Elementary Pride Award recipients! πŸ’™πŸ“š

πŸ“šπŸŒŸ Shout out to fourth grade students Alissa Babilonia and Julian Garcia!

Both students were excited to receive new books for advancing their reading steps and got to select them from our book vending machine. During this moment, an extra book accidentally came out of the machine. Without hesitation, Alissa and Julian did the right thing and brought the book directly to Principal Dean.

We are proud of their thoughtful choices, honesty, and strong character. Great job, Alissa and Julian! πŸ’™πŸ“–πŸ‘

β˜€οΈπŸ“ Mr. Hamilton’s class took advantage of the beautiful weather and brought their measurement unit outdoors! Students explored the playground with rulers and measuring sticks in hand, measuring everything from playground equipment to open spaces while putting their math skills into action. Hands-on learning opportunities like this help students see how math connects to the world around them. It was a great day to learn, explore, and enjoy some sunshine! πŸ˜ŽπŸ“šπŸ’™

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯ Congratulations to Yasi Malave Perez on being named MMCSD Athlete of the Week!

Yasi has been a leader for the track and field program since his very first day on the team. His commitment to excellence, relentless work ethic, and dedication to improving every day have made him a role model for his teammates. Whether in practice or competition, there is never any doubt that Yasi is giving his best effort.

This season, Yasi achieved a goal he has been pursuing since he first stepped onto the track, finding success in the 800 meter run while continuing to establish himself as one of the area's top athletes. He is always looking for new challenges, asking for tougher workouts, and pushing himself to improve.

What stands out most is that Yasi's focus extends beyond his own success. He is constantly encouraging and supporting his teammates, helping to create a positive and competitive team culture.
