A BIG Day for College & Career Readiness at RCS!

Today, our sophomores and juniors had the opportunity to meet with KHEAA to learn more about KEES Money and how they can earn money toward their future education! Students were also able to create their KHEAA accounts to begin keeping track of their awards.

We also hosted our Senior Family FAFSA Night. Our KHEAA Representative, Lakyn Miller, shared that RCS had one of her largest FAFSA Night turnouts of the season!

A HUGE thank you to Laken for spending the day with our students and families, and to everyone who came out tonight! We love seeing our RCS families taking steps toward their students’ futures!

The future is bright at RCS! 🎓✨

📣 ONE LAST REMINDER! RCS FAFSA Day is TOMORROW, October 27th! 🎓

We are excited to welcome KHEAA to RCS to help our seniors and their families with FSA IDs and FAFSA completion!

🎓 Seniors: 9:00–11:30 AM – FSA IDs

🎓 Senior Families: 5:00–7:00 PM – FSA IDs & FAFSA Assistance

⏰ 15-minute appointment slots are available! To sign up, open the ParentSquare app, find the FAFSA Day post, and click the hand icon to select your time! If you are having trouble signing up, you can also message Mrs. Keeley and she can schedule a time for you.

Even if your student isn’t planning to attend a four-year college, completing the FAFSA can open doors to additional financial aid and scholarship opportunities!

Our first Superintendent Student Leadership Council meeting with Dr. Bailey was fantastic! 🔴⚫
Students worked in small groups, shared their perspectives, and brought plenty of ideas for moving Robertson County School forward!

🗼 Eight sheets. One tower. Teams competed to build the tallest freestanding paper tower WITHOUT TALKING, then talked about what helped them collaborate, communicate, and work through challenges.

💬 Keep. Change. Create. Students identified what they love about our school, what could be better, and new opportunities they would like to see.

📣 Every voice matters. Small-group conversations gave students time to listen to one another before sharing their priorities and possible next steps with the whole council.

We also talked about what it means to lead and to reach beyond your own friend group, understand different perspectives, and serve your peers and community.
Robertson County truly has amazing students!

Student voices. Big ideas. Just the beginning! WE ARE ONE! 🔴⚫

ROBERTSON COUNTY SCHOOLS SEEKS BUSINESS/COMMUNITY LEADER FOR FACILITIES PLANNING COMMITTEE

Robertson County Schools is seeking a local business/community leader to serve on its Local Planning Committee (LPC).

This committee is part of the Kentucky Department of Education’s required facilities planning process. Under 702 KAR 4:180 and the Kentucky School Facilities Planning Manual, districts must develop a four-year District Facilities Plan that identifies and prioritizes school construction and renovation needs.

The committee has a specific responsibility: review building conditions, enrollment, and financial information, then recommend a facilities plan to the Robertson County Board of Education. A business/community representative brings a local perspective to decisions about our school facilities and the responsible use of public resources.

Interested Robertson County business/community leaders should submit a letter of interest with their name, contact information, and a brief description of their connection to the community.

Please submit letters to Tracy Teegarden by email at [email protected] by Friday, November 9.
