The Mount Orab Fire Department would like to express our sincere gratitude toward one of Mount Orab’s own, Tyler Spitznagel.

Tyler has served this village since he started as a cadet at 14 years old. Tyler worked through the ranks, from being a volunteer to being hired on full-time, and eventually being promoted to Lieutenant.

Yesterday, Tyler finished his last tour as a full-time Lieutenant with the Mount Orab Fire Department. Tyler has accepted a position with Miami Township Fire and EMS in Clermont County. He is staying on as a part-time/volunteer with us, so you will still see him around from time to time.

Thank you, Tyler, for your years of full-time service. We wish you well, and congratulations!

This evening Battalion 1 crew went through all of the Halloween Coloring Contest entries, there were over 75 entries!!

Congratulations to Emma McKinley, Ryker Beasley, and Jasper King.

We had so much fun seeing all of the awesome artwork, we will definitely be doing this again!

Today, our fire department had the pleasure of visiting Mount Orab Elementary School to talk with students about fire safety and prevention!

The kids got to meet our firefighters, learn important safety tips, and even check out the fire truck up close! We’re proud to help educate the next generation on staying safe and being prepared.

🚒 Many students visited the Mt. Orab firefighters and firetrucks today - pictured below is Mrs. Hinkle‘s second grade classroom!

Mount Orab Fire Department invites kids of all ages to participate in our fang-tastic coloring contest!

Here is how to participate:
• Download and print the coloring sheet at home, or grab one at the Pumpkins and Pumpers event held today, October 4th.
• Decorate your page with your most creative, spooky colors and Halloween spirit.
• Bring your completed artwork to Mount Orab Fire Department (115 Spice St) by October 30th.
• Don’t forget to put your name on the back!

Prizes:
Three winners will be chosen, and their creations will be showcased on our page for everyone to enjoy!

Let’s make this Halloween a burst of color, show us your amazing, spooky masterpieces!

We had the honor of cleaning the Mt. Orab Fire Department building and metal roof this week — and what a transformation! 💪✨

These heroes keep our community safe 24/7, so it was a privilege to give their station the deep clean it deserved. From the brick to the metal roof, everything is now sparkling clean and ready to shine for years to come. 💦🏠
