The Joseph Pellicci Keeper of the Flame Award is the highest honor presented to a South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics officer.

Named in memory of Captain Joseph Pellicci — a true leader in the LETR movement who passed away in 2014 — this award recognizes officers who embody the spirit of the Torch Run through unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment to Special Olympics athletes.

Lieutenant Calabrese exemplifies what it means to carry the Flame of Hope — inspiring others and making a lasting impact in our community.

Join us with fellow South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics officers raising money for and awareness for our athletes!

Join us this Friday, November 22, 2024, from 7 am to 7 pm as we partner with Chick-fil-A North Mount Pleasant and Chick-fil-A Long Point for Cops on the Coop!

We will be at both locations supporting Special Olympics South Carolina by not just raising funds but awareness. With over 30,000 athletes in South Carolina, Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These opportunities help the athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and inclusion. Come see us this Friday at the locations below and support Special Olympics South Carolina! All proceeds go directly to Special Olympics.
