Ganiard Preschool is now a 5-day-a-week, Monday–Friday program! 💙💛

We currently have preschool openings at Ganiard and Vowles Elementary for the 2026–27 school year.

⭐ FREE preschool for eligible families
⭐ Full-day, Monday–Friday programming
⭐ Children who turn 4 by December 1, 2026 may qualify — they don’t have to be 4 yet!

The Mt Pleasant Public Schools is now accepting applications for the open position of Trustee on the MPPS Board of Education. The candidate selected for this position will be appointed to a term that expires on December 31, 2026.

Interested applicants should submit their letter of interest to the Superintendent, Jennifer Verleger, by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Applicants should provide:
Name and complete mailing address (must reside in the Mt Pleasant Public School District)

Answer the following questions:
What qualities, skills and experience do you bring to the board?
An average month for a school board member includes about two to five scheduled meetings and perhaps another three school or community-related activities. In addition,there is daily email correspondence, required reading, and district updates. How will you fit this into your schedule?
Is there anything else you'd like current board members to know?

They may be eligible for FREE preschool with Mt. Pleasant Public Schools—even if they aren't 4 years old yet!

Our preschool classrooms give children opportunities to learn through play, build friendships, develop independence, and get ready for kindergarten in a safe and nurturing environment.
