Great reminder from Charleston County Environmental Management!!

‼️ATTENTION‼️

You would never purposely start a fire, but careless disposal of lithium-ion batteries can lead to fires in recycling and trash trucks, recycling centers, and landfills. Lithium-ion batteries should NEVER be placed in trash or recycling. Please bring these items to a staffed Convenience Center for proper disposal.

Starting Monday, October 12th, Pitt Street will have a lane shift with flagging operations at Ferry St. Please plan accordingly and use extra caution while driving through the work zone. This work is expected to take 5 weeks. The scheduled work is subject to change depending on the weather conditions.

REMINDER: Due to yesterday's Labor Day holiday, recycling pickup is on a one day delay the remainder of this week; crews will work on Saturday. Please ensure your cart is out on the curb prior to 7am.

The Town of Mount Pleasant will be closed Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day.

Trash and Garbage collection will be on a one-day delay:

Monday: Closed
Monday route collected Tuesday.
Tuesday route collected Wednesday.
Wednesday route collected Thursday.
Thursday route collected Friday.
