Central Michigan Veteran's Fund Veterans Group Organized as a 501(c)-3, we hold one annual fundraising event which is a 4-man scramble golf outing.

The event's goal is to fund all operating expenses through golf fees and use 100% of our sponsorship donations for scholarship and PTSD initiatives.

CMVF held our 16th annual golf outing On September 13th, 2025. Again, we had good weather as well as a fantastic field of 88 golfers and many volunteers who all worked together to put on a first-class event. Volunteers lined the clubhouse front yard and portions of the course with American flags to honor the victims of 9/11.

At our Board meeting on 11/19/2025, we awarded $17,500.00 to 26 local Central Michigan University, Mid Michigan College and Montcalm Community College students. To date, we have provided 245 scholarships for a grand total of $172,410.00. After the first of the year in Spring 2026, we will once again send our High School scholarship application to area schools for dependents of currently serving or honorably discharged veterans. In addition, CMVF will again provide funds in 2025/2026 for veteran re-integration programming. Since our inception we have provided approximately $32,500 in re-integration program funds. Again this year we donated $2,500.00 to the Central Michigan Veterans Endowment through the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation created in 2018 as a permanent funding source for the community.

We are excited about our 17th annual fundraising event to be held again at Maple Creek Golf Club in Shepherd, MI on September 12, 2026. Not only would we appreciate your support, but we would welcome any of your employees, family members, and friends on the course enjoying a day of golf with what really is a great group of people. Golf registration and hole sponsor flyers will be posted in the Spring 2026.

Happy holidays and we wish you all peace and prosperity.

Had a great outing for 2025 with 23 teams and a fantastic group of volunteers, making it all come together to support our local veterans with scholarships, reintegration programming, and other financial support.

Still time to put a team together and join us for a great day on the course and a great cause!
