🎉 Happy Retirement, April! 🎉

Today, we congratulate April Cruz on her well-earned retirement and celebrate an incredible career of nearly 34 years in public service.

April spent decades serving our community as a Dispatcher with both the Racine Police Department and at the Racine County Communications Center. She also dedicated her time as a Court Clerk for the Village of Wind Point, continuing her commitment to the justice system.

For the past five and a half years, April has been a valued member of the Mount Pleasant Police Department as a Records Clerk. Her professionalism, knowledge, and positive attitude have made a lasting impact on our department and the community we serve.

In addition to her official roles, April has generously volunteered her time supporting K9 fundraisers, COP events, car shows, and many other community activities. She was always willing to step up and help.

April’s dedication and contributions will truly be missed, but we wish her all the best as she begins this next chapter.

🐾 FOUND DOG – HELP US GET HIM HOME 🐾

This sweet dog was recently found abandoned in the 6400 block of Wembley Lane in the Jamestown subdivision.

He is now safe and we are working to make sure he gets the care he needs and a chance to find a loving home. The dog will be at the local humane society where he can be properly identified and adopted if an owner does not come forward.

If you recognize this dog or have any information about where he belongs, please contact the humane society or your local animal control as soon as possible.

Using resources provided by our community partnerships we have been succeeding in our law enforcement mission using advanced drone technology.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department Drone Team provides a critical advantage when searching for a missing person, tracking a suspect, providing critical situational awareness, and delivering real-time intelligence that improves officer safety and helps bring incidents to a faster resolution.

Proudly serving our community and supporting our neighboring agencies when they need us most.

🏈 Congratulations to Officer Ben Mieloszyk #71! 🛡️

The Mount Pleasant Police Department is proud to congratulate Police Officer (PO) Ben Mieloszyk, School Resource Officer (SRO) at Case High School, on being recognized with the prestigious Green Bay Packers “Protect & Serve Award.” He received the award earlier this evening from Green Bay Packers long snapper, Matt Orzech #42.

This award honors Wisconsin law enforcement officers who go above and beyond the call of duty through heroism, leadership, and exceptional community service. PO Mieloszyk was the only SRO recognized this year with a “Protect & Serve Award.”

PO Mieloszyk exemplifies the values of service, leadership, compassion, and courage every day. We are grateful for his dedication to the students of J.I. Case High School and the entire Mount Pleasant community.

Please join us in congratulating PO Ben Mieloszyk on this well-deserved recognition!
