A huge thank you to Mount Pleasant High School for honoring and celebrating our first responders and for giving us the opportunity to be part of such an incredible experience.

WOW… what an incredible day!

On behalf of all of us at Northeast Cabarrus Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and joined us for our Family Fun Day. To see so many smiling faces, families, friends, and community members gathered together made this event truly special.

A huge thank you goes out to every volunteer, member, agency, sponsor, and supporter who gave their time and effort to make today possible. It takes a lot of hard work behind the scenes to put on an event like this, and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you.

To our community—thank you for your continued support and for allowing us the privilege of serving you. We are truly blessed to be part of such an amazing community and are proud to call Northeast home.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our Family Fun Day a tremendous success. We already can't wait to do it again!

Family Fun Day is Almost Here!

We are so excited to welcome everyone to Northeast Cabarrus Fire Department Family Fun Day this Saturday! Before the fun begins, here are a few helpful reminders:

Helicopter Landing:�Weather and emergency responses permitting, a helicopter will be landing in our back parking lot during the event. For everyone's safety, both entrances to the back parking lot will be temporarily closed during the event. Don't worry—additional parking will be available!

�We'll have a bounce house/water slide for the kids to enjoy! If your child plans on sliding, be sure to pack a towel and a change of clothes if you'd like.

Fun for the Whole Family:�This event is designed for families to enjoy together! We encourage everyone to stay, explore the fire trucks, meet our partnering agencies, enjoy the food, learn about fire and community safety, and make lasting memories.

****Please remember that parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event.

We can't wait to see you all on Saturday!

Join Us Next Weekend for Northeast Cabarrus Fire Department Family Day!

July 11, 11am-2pm

Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled day at Northeast Cabarrus Fire Department! This free community event is a great opportunity to meet your local first responders, explore emergency vehicles, learn valuable safety information, and enjoy an afternoon of family fun.

Here's what you can look forward to:
🚁 Helicopter Landing – Watch a helicopter land at the station (weather and emergency responses permitting) and get an up-close look while learning about the important role aviation plays in emergency services.
🐕 Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit – Meet one of the Sheriff's Office K-9 teams and learn how these highly trained dogs assist deputies with tracking, searching, detecting evidence, and protecting our community.
🔥 Concord Fire Marshal's Office – Tour the Fire Safety House and participate in interactive fire safety demonstrations. Families will learn about smoke alarms, home escape planning, fire prevention, and other important life-saving safety tips.
🌲 NC Forest Service – Discover how the Forest Service protects North Carolina's forests and communities from wildfires. Learn about wildfire prevention, firefighting equipment, and the unique challenges of battling fires in wooded areas.
🚒 Northeast Cabarrus Fire Department – Meet your local firefighters, explore our fire trucks and equipment, and learn about the services we provide to keep our community safe every day.
🍦 Food & Fun for Everyone!�We'll be serving hot dogs and homemade ice cream. It's the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon with family, friends, and neighbors while getting to know the agencies that proudly serve our community.
We can't wait to see you there! Come hungry, bring the kids, and enjoy a day of fun, education, and community at Northeast Cabarrus Fire Department!

Day 3 – Fire Camp

Yesterday marked the final day of Fire Camp. The campers started the morning with a fun workout before learning about forcible entry and firefighter drags. After completing these final skills, the campers participated in a drill that put their training to the test. They worked through a series of stations, each highlighting skills they learned throughout the week.
After the drill campers cooled off by doing a team building bucket brigade game, followed by a swim in the drop tank. Our day concluded with a graduation ceremony where family and friends were invited to celebrate the campers' accomplishments. Guests enjoyed food provided by members of our community as we recognized the hard work of each participant.

We cannot thank our community enough for making this camp possible and for providing these young men with such a valuable opportunity to learn about the fire service, build confidence, and have fun. We are incredibly proud of all they accomplished this week!
